The Eternal Optimists Unite!!!

And really, it takes an eternal optimist to confidently make a game thread with one Ryan Dempster on the mound.

Which is why I am making this thread. There is a talksox threesome going on, and it's between me, RSFFL, and BTR. Not gay sex. A gang bang of game threads.

Dempster vs Santiago.

Bogaerts goes deep tonight.

Sox win 7-4.

Hopefully, Dopester/Dipster/Densester/Dumbster/Duncester will have one of his good games. Or I may have to start calling him names.

Forsyth did you pass your test?

Find out on 9/10. But not thinking about it. Flying to Nashville to see family as we speak (in flight wifi is such a great feature) so just gonna enjoy making 7 consecutive GTs and spending a weekend at the lake.

Sweep. Calling it.

I can see the A's taking 2/3 too.

I can't see the Rays doing any better than 5-5 on this road trip so the Sox should be able to pick up 2-3 games over the next 10 days. Then take it down to TB and sweep. Put them 7.5 out

I'm sure you did great. In flight wifi usually isn't free. It's a nice feature but I personally wouldn't pay for it. Have a good time in Nashville.

Are you trying not to think about it because you're worried about not passing, or because you're trying to avoid contemplating spending the next fifty years being an accountant? :P

Sweep wouldn't surprise me, but I'll go with the more conservative approach at say 2/3.

BTW, the best in-flight option is 6 klonopins.

Haha. Yes. Simply yes.

Being an accountant is not that bad, when you get to the point you have some control over what you're doing. I sit at a desk crunching numbers on the computer for 5-6 hours a day, surfing the net for the other 2 hours or so. My chargeout rate usually works out to about $200 an hour.

I can tell you right now that we will lose this series. Adam Dunn, one of the best players in the game at grinding out long at-bats, has recently figured out how to hit the ball the other way. This makes him impossible to strike out or figure out in any way.

I can tell you right now that the Crystal Meth is serious screwing with your reasoning ability.

Adam Dunn is my favorite non Red Sox player. However, Chi Sox SUCK this year. They have one of the worst records in MLB and Sale won't pitch this series.

The only teams with worse records are the Astros and Marlins. Yuck!

If im not mistaken, santiago pitched pretty well against us last time we faced him. Plus, when you have a guy who can't even produce a quality start half the time in the dempster, I think this game could be up for grabs.

Dempster has taken a lot of heat lately. He's going to come out tonight and pitch a solid game.

The ChiSox have nothing left to play for at this point.

I'm sorry, what?? Is this post serious? I'd hate it if you actually took some time to, oh, I dont know, look at the stats before making a blind ******** post.

Adam Dunn past 10 games: .125/.186/.275. That would be a .461 OPS. And 17 strikeouts. In 10 games. In 43 PA. That would be 39.5%.

Man. How will we ever deal with this guy?!?!?

Do NOT predict game or series losses, not in my game threads. No sir.
I predict that three games will be played against the chicago White Sox. I like to go out on a limb.

You will take that prediction back or be temp banned until the series is over is what you will do.
