Certainly didn't look like they cared very much tonight. Bunch of lifeless, flat players on the field tonight.

They should have swept the Jays, but they lost 2/3. These games are insanely critical and the Sox keep blowing them

I understand what you are saying. But they do care. I never even expected them to sniff the post season this year.

2 days. You said multiple times you wouldn't make anymore. Knowing you suck, you still made it. Where do you live so I can make sure the whole state doesn't have internet.

LMAO no internet

god damn stone age must be boring.

How were they lifeless? It's one of those nights where they just swing at pitches at the wrong times. Lifeless would be 3 hits or less.

I will not worry about this team until they aree no longer in first.

They're tied in the L column. They don't even have a legitimate "lead". They're only ahead because they've played more games.

Anytime the team completely and utterly fails to get runs across the plate, it's lifeless. It's unfocused, and it's not fundamental baseball. They're swinging freely, not paying attention to the situation, and it comes back and bites the s*** out of them.

I just survived 3 weeks with no Internet. I'll be fine.

Yeah, that's the problem. Obviously.

Okay, can we stop? I already said that I'm okay with 2 days. Let's leave it at that.

Don't be so hard on yourself Thunder. Mojo does not move mountains.

Farrell has got this incredible stubborn streak and that really bothers me. Whenever he gets into these discussions of why, he always comes up with this obscure thing...like well "he hits well against lefties that tie their right shoe before tying their left shoe on every second Wednesday of the month." It's not that complicated. Your team sucks against LH pitching. Stop dreaming up excuses to run the same damn lineup out there every day.

I think Naps will have to get well for example but running him out there to fail every day was not working.

2 lefties coming this weekend.

I hope Bogaerts gets here soon. Maybe on this road trip out west next week so they take the home crowd pressure off him. We need another f***ing bat with some pop. Drew might sit out a few vs LHP if we face Mad-bum, Ryu on the trip.

I think Bogaerts will come up on September 1st. No point doing it until then unless the Sox go into a freefall, which they aren't in yet.

The longest time I went without internet was 6 weeks. Though I was out the country, and it was at a time when Windows 98 was in use everywhere. And high speed internet was limited to school, work only.

A little bit of an overreaction. It was a bad series but this team has exceed expectations. Lots of players underperforming and injured. This is the first time we lost consecutive series in a while. I know your mad, I am too, but it could be worse.

I rather see the Sox struggle now instead of at the end of the season.

Luckily for the sox thus far this season, they havent had really any long winning droughts. Teams like ours are going to lose back to back series, no matter how s***** and undeserving the loses are. They also havent had many long winning streaks, as there highest this season was 7, which is good in a way because it shows they are relatively stable. In may they went through a rough patch by losing 3 straight series, 2 to teams that they were better than. Although the sox have a tough septemebr stretch, they could go on to win there next 3 series and everyone will be right back on this teams back again.

Well you are right here again SFF. The Sox have got to stick to their knitting. They are not talented enough to go out there and beat teams on raw talent. That is what most bothers me about WMB's AB's. I love the guy. But I can't stand watching him be so oblivious to where he is at the plate. That sort of s*** is infectious for one thing.

I know we like to think about this RISP position thing as a consequence of getting so many runners on in the first place. But the numbers are now getting totally ridiculous. Take SF Giants in their WS run as the example of what a team short on talent and long on process can do if it sticks to its knitting. The Sox have been pretty disciplined all season long. But they have to think about every AB as life or death now because it is life and death now. While other teams have narrowed their focus here in crunch time the Sox have been more "Gee we are happy to be here". Well OK they have gotten away with maybe more than they should have since the ASB. Time to get serious fellas or I will guarantee you that you will not feel so sporty if you end up getting boosted out of the post season going down the stretch.

Thats very true. But its incredibly hard to keep getting consistent timely hitting throughout the season.

Just got back. RSFFL, please don't remove the internet from Connecticut. All of my friends are on the internet.

Please don't ban me either. If you do, 2 days is fine. Everyone seems to think that is necessary.

Posted
I won't. We agreed on banning you the NEXT time, this time doesn't count. I am still displeased, however. I demand a token of supplication. Dr Pepper will do, or cigarettes.

Holy s*** Youk..Dr. Pepper and cigarettes??? Your makin' it too easy for him man. All Thunder had to do is wait for you to keel over.

And some Springsteen tunes.

Since I'm too young to buy cigarettes, Dr Pepper will have to do.
