To add a little hilarity to the White Sox win, if you watch the video of Dunn's game-tying single in the ninth, Beckham is clearly blowing a bubble even while getting ready to slide into home.

This year's Red Sox team has been beyond enjoyable for me to watch regardless of anything else that happens from here on out, but the Yankees not looking so good is just the icing on the cake up to this point in the season. All the Yankees fans living in my area have been very quiet this season and I love it.

Well, you couldn't draw up a better night than that. Sox win in dramatic fashion, Rays and Yankees both blow late leads to lose.

 

And to make it all even sweeter, Bartolo Colon got knocked around by Cincy, lasting only 2.2 and taking the loss.

This is just like the '67 Impossible Dream season. They keep pulling games out of their asses with big hits from different guys, and with good relief pitching.

 

Time to put Dempster in the BP and start Workman, who has looked good as a starter and bad as a reliever. And time to bring up Middlebrooks to play 3B properly.

Middlebrooks may be better at this point, since he knows how to play 3B and has hit lefties as well as Bogaerts. X is still learning 3B. I doubt they have given up on Middlebrooks. He's on the 40 man roster, too, and easier to bring up.
