I honestly don't think the Sox thought Dempster ever had the potential to be Peavy. However I also think the Sox had Dempster slated to pitch better than he has lately.

Will those f***ing *******s in Tampa hurry up and lose a f***ing baseball game already!?

This kid Meyers is the real deal. He had his first MLB walk off tonight. He could have been a ours if we gave up Lester. However, I think we did good to hold on to Lester. Pitching is at a premium and if Lackey can turn it around so can Lester.

Great win . Peavy looking like the guy they thought Dempster would be. Maybe more. Drew hitting like everybody hoped. Salty's timely power--he only has 10 Hrs so far--surprising. Uehara lights out closer. Who would have thought? Rubby up. Bogaerts not far behind... Hope Vic can stay healthy. He makes a difference.

Things are looking good!

Great win. Really nice to see Peavy pitch lights out after coming over. He's a gamer... loves the intense atmosphere and relishes the opportunity to win a championship. Not many guys out there like that... always thought he'd be brilliant in Boston.

I am not as active here as much as I would like to be because of working two jobs and being a full-time college student, but fortunately I do get to watch all of the games at work. Last night was a game that was huge for us. Not only did Peavy pitch great in his first start here, but we got 8 hits and scored three runs off of Corbin. He is one of the best lefties in the game right now (could be the NL Cy Young winner). We struggled against Moore and Price recently, who are also solid LH pitchers. To come out and win against Corbin like that is a good sign for us offensively. We were threats on the base paths against him. We should have scored more runs than we did against him, but we still came out with the W. Peavy pitching like that and our offense doing just enough to get the win are good signs for us going forward.
