Especially when you consider how relatively poor both Nava and Salty are against lefties. Putting Gomes in was a nice move. Hopefully Salty can at least knock a run in before striking out.

Sweet!!!!! This is nice to come home to. Just got home from my 13 year olds tournament game. He hit well and pitched a gem tonight. So fun!

I don't think much of Gomes as an everyday option in the lineup but what a situational hitter he has been. He invariably gets the pitcher into a situation where he has to come to him late in games as he has a great eye either taking or fouling off pitches. Relief pitchers do not have many options in those cases and he has produced in most situations when given the opportunity.

Wow! I have a parlay bet of 8 teams. 10 bucks to win 495. 7 games, checked. The only one missing is this. I f***ing bet a RL with Toronto 1.5, which means, if Toronto L by one I am still winning. My Red Sox always make me suffer one way or another.

I was just thinking what Remy said about Davis. He always seems to be on base against us. He's one of those bums that feasts on us.

In 52 games (154 abs) Rajai Davis is .247/.287/.370/.657 against us. I imagine Chris Davis is a different story though. Ike Davis might be more of the same.
