Desperate times call for desperate measures. We lost a lot of games we should have won (vs. Min/Tor) and now we're facing a slightly better team with much worse fans. We need to buckle down and score Moore runs or else Moore wins is what we'll Lack...ey.

OK bad puns aside, here we go.

Normally we'd never be excited with a Lackey start, as he used to be the goat of the team since Dice-K left and Lugo was long gone, but now he's pitching respectfully after coming back from his injury. He's currently 1-3 with 2.82 ERA 24/7 K/BB and 1.30 WHIP. John Lackey is 12-6 with a 4.09 ERA, 1.35 WHIP and .268 BAA against the Rays in 123.1 career innings. Furthermore he also comes home at night and sleeps with this.

So he's gotta be doing something right.

We'll be up against another one of those young Rays pitchers that seems to be doing well. Matt Moore is a lefty that's 6-0 with a 2.14 ERA, 43/23 K/BB and 1.17 WHIP. Moore is 0-2 with a 5.87 ERA, 1.43 WHIP and .250 BAA in 15.1 innings against Boston.

Let the Perv Magic go to work!!

Uh, that's his ex-wife, no? You know, the one he dumped when she had breast cancer and needed a double mastectomy?

I don't make many threads, so when I do, I have to make them count.

Woah now, my spidey sense only applies to semi attractive females, not being up to date on Sox news. Sox news sounds dangerously close to "Fox news" anyway.

He filed for divorce in 2011. It was a huge story that September.

Lackey was slaying college chicks down here in Ft. Myers. Got to give the man props. It ain't easy when your mouth looks like broken glass.

He might be the one person that looks more horse-faced than Teixeira. He also sounds like Ray Romano with a Texas accent imo, but the last time I heard him talk was his press conference when joining Boston.

It's unreal the way women go for baseball pitchers, and looks don't seem to matter. I saw pictures of Brad Penny with Alyssa Milano and Eliza Dushku.

Position players do well for themselves as well. That said I want to petition John Farrell that I can at least throw the ball over the plate more than Doubront can and to give me a chance at the 5th starter spot long enough to get a few paychecks and find a hot wife.

It's easy if you're a multi-millionaire. Then it doesn't matter how you look.

Glad he's back too. Tough dude. That was a hell of collision with the wall.

Sox should be inspired by Bruins and come out and win.

I'd prefer if they didn't come from behind like that and just straight dominated like the Rangers/Caps game, but a win is a win. I prefer the boring molly-whoopin type beating where we can just laugh than any of that dramatic stuff.

Happy to see Lavs up. At least it suggests that the FO has seen enough of you know who and is ready to give Lavs a shot. Sox have too many K's in the lineup and Salty is one of them.

Would love to see evidence tonight and in this series of the Sox going back to the offensive approach that they had earlier in the season. Would also like to see them going back to taking early leads as opposed to playing from behind.

He's up because of Ross' concussion.

Do the 500 or so Tampa fans still do that cowbell s***?

They actually have a recording of it and play it over the speakers now...nauseating.

They have the recording because it wouldn't be nearly as loud with the 500 Rays fans that come. This will basically be a Sox home game.
