Yeah, I dont really hate Nava.......hes a fine bench player.

I will never let the Salty thing go, just as I never let the Beckett thing go.

That wasn't towards you haha. I hate Salty too, maybe not as much as you though. I just don't beat the same drum on the forum, but I do rage while I watch him at home.

Yeah, sure, whatever. Our argument was NOT about whether or not Napoli was a bad signing. It was whether or not he was doing well at the moment. And at the moment of your post, he wasn't doing well.

I don't understand why you keep bringing it up. It's not like his future stats make you correct at that time so it's not going to change anything. You'll be just as wrong then as you will be 10 years from now.

Now drop it like a ball popped up to Salty.

No. You are wrong. I said "Napoli was a good signing." (This was in reference to a conversation about Victorino being the best offseason signing and me saying "what about Uehara or Napoli.") You said "Oh really, how was he a good signing, he's only hitting .220, RBI's are a meaningless stat blah blah blah."

And "keep bringing it up?" What is this the 2nd time it has been mentioned?

Billy Butler always seems to crush our pitching.

I would've let Tazawa pitch the 8th with his power arm over Koji. Just play it like that with the BP. It's a good strategy. Tito did it with Bard.

It was pointless snark like 98% of your posts. It wasn't about baseball.

It was towards you, but more of a general statement overall. So many people love to backtrack when they prove people wrong. Then another pointless argument happens, then it repeats. Don't take it to the heart, you usually don't care what people think.

I feel like you are thinking of the wrong person, because the conversation I remember went something like you mentioning a bunch of players doing well.

And me being like "Napoli's doing well? Since when?"

And that convo starting just before Napoli started hitting those game winning hits.

One of us (or perhaps both) are clearly wrong. I'm going to dig into this.

Thank God this was quicker to find that I thought or I'd have wasted hours on this crap.

Anyway, the "incident" is in the 4/15 vs. Tampa Bay thread.

UserName: In all seriousness, Victorino can do a lot of things. He's looking like he could actually be the best signing of the off-season. (Post #81)

MVP: No love for Uehara? Napoli has been good so far. (Post #84)

Me: Napoli's been good thus far? His line coming into his 0/2 performance thus far was .217/.234/.413/.647. I don't know about his defense but even if it was gold glove caliber I don't think it'd salvage his current .208 average. (Post #87)

MVP: 2hr and 10rbi in 11 games. He's not winning a batting crown. If he hits 30hr's and 120rbi with a 210 batting average (which is what he's currently projected to do) not sure there would be any big complaints. Also, big bats come alive once the warmer weather comes. He's shown enough so far to prove his worth. (Post #115)

Then some time goes by. Napoli hits the walkoff double, and in a (typical?) snarky/sarcastic tone. You quoted me again and said.

MVP: I was wrong. He stinks. My bad. (Post #245)

Me: Good call. His magical 1/4 performance raised his average to .220. Plus he never would have had that opportunity if Bailey didn't just blow the save. Just because he helped here doesn't mean it makes you right before. (Post #257)

MVP: Yeah, even though he sucks, he's still on pace for 120 RBI. My bad. What a horrible pickup there. (Post #258)

So there it is. I believe what you think happened was between you and Username. But what happened between you and I was different.

Now is it (finally) done?
