Really? Since when? I like him. He keeps improving. Although I think he has just about hit his ceiling.
The kid just hit the game-winning HR on Opening Day. How should a Red Sox fan feel about him? Of course, I am loving the kid. He has the heart of an All Star that is overcoming his minor league talent. Love his heart and his effort.

This. The awesome OBP skills are pretty sweet too.

This team looks better and better each day. Yesterday they had good offense. Today, good pitching. I missed the first 6 innings. How dominant was Buchholz? Haven't read his stats yet.

I just bought three bottles of Pepto Bismol which i will keep handy for every save opportunity Hanrahan gets the rest of this season.

He reminds me of Gagne. Not as bad, but similar build.

Did you go to Wrigley for Sox-Cubs last year? I was supposed to.

I'm actually in Arlington Heights (Just put Chicago for the heck of it). A bit ticked that the White Sox games are all night games, weekdays no less so more than likely I'll be watching from home.

Did you make it to any of the Cubs/Red Sox games last year?

Sox played 79 games--nearly 50 percent of their games--in which they scored 3 r or fewer last season. Went 11-68. Were shut out 7 times

I knoow....but what other viable options do i have for such a strong case of heartburn?

papelbon gave heartburns or stomach churns for me.. Hanrahan i think is doing okay so far.

I was thinking the same today. They look identical. Bigger white dudes with stupid looking goatees...

Except Hanrahan doesn't suck.

I am unusually optimistic about this team this year... I can't believe it really. Haven't felt this good about a Sox team in years.

In all fairness, Gagne was really really really good there for a significant amount of time. In fact, he was great in Texas before the trade to the Sox. But there seems to be something in the Red Sox' water supply that makes pitchers suck.

Early-in-his-career Papelbon? Foulke in '04?

Yeah, that'd be about it I think. Foulke scared people with his high 80's fastball though.

Explain Buchholz and Lester.

Explain Buchholz and Lester.

Explain 2012.

For that matter, i would also have to explain Bard. Also, it was a tongue-in-cheek joke. Chill brah.

What a fantastic start to the season. 5 and 2 in the first 7. Clay has had two strong performances as has Lester. I am really finding myself comfortable with the pitching. Our 5th spot scares me a bit with Lackey hurt but we will jump off that cliff when we get there. Baltimore is a tough team and we played them well for the most part. I love how everyone seems to be chipping in. One night it's Pedroia the next it's Middle. Today Nava played a strong game. So refreshing to see this team. We will only get better once Ortiz and Drew are back :)

Rays can't hit. I'd rather him throw against them.

Aceves is a real dickweed at times but I wonder if he actually do better as a starter for us this time around. Word is he has always wanted to start and maybe a solid pre-game routine will set him on the right road. He sure hasn't done well as a reliever so far and since there is no one else what do we have to lose? Well a game, sure, but if we go out there and hit with some authority in our yard we could prevail. I now wonder with Lackey out for 15 days (at least) whether we will make a move to trade for Harang or fill in that rotation spot with Aceves or someone else in house.
