And it's not just always in response to them. Lots of shots are taken at them when they're not even on the forum/haven't even posted recently.

Looking at the Yankees lineup now, ouch. Around what time do you think the Yankees get their full lineup back y228?

Well, the talk right now is that ARod, Jeter, and Granderson are due back in a weeks following the ASB. ARod and Granderson seem to be a bit ahead of Jeter right now, but this stuff seems to change fairly frequently. Unfortunate the other issue is the possibility of ARod being suspended, so who knows if he'll be back at all this year.

As for Tex, who knows. The issue is beginning to seem chronic at this point and may require surgery, even though the Yankees don't seem to think so. I'm not counting on anything more from him this year, but I guess you never know.

Pineda is currently pitching in rehab games, but once his 30 day rehab clock expires, the Yankees will probably stash him in the minor leagues for another three weeks because it allows them to essentially 'buy back' the year they lost last year.

I see shots taken at Jackso because he's nowhere to be found when the Yankees are losing but then when the Red Sox lose he logs on to say "booyah!" in the game thread. But I don't see a whole lot of shots taken at him that aren't related to something he's said or done.

And I find that often times when I do try to discuss baseball in here, like yesterday when I asked why the Yankees released Chien-Ming Wang, those types of questions or observations are skipped over.

So we're not looking at the full Yankees team until late July/early August. We definitely need to take advantage of this.

I saw that, although it's worth noting that those observations always seem to have a negative connotation to them. Regardless, this has run its course, I think. We'll see how it goes.

Why is Shawn Kelly on the Yankees and not Chien-Ming Wang? All the Yankees had to do to keep Wang is call him up, right?

I think Shawn Kelley is a guy worth hanging onto. And I don't think they saw CMW as a guy who could succeed out of the bullpen, so the only option is in the starting rotation. Hughes hasn't been good lately, but I don't blame them for not kicking him out of the rotation for CMW, a guy that is 4+ years removed from success at the major league level.

Second passed ball in two innings for Romine lol.

Although I guess the first one didn't count as a passed ball because the runner was going on the pitch. Point still stands, though.

Well crummy result, but Nova's outing was encouraging. I think you have to keep him in the rotation over Hughes, at least for the time being. He has always had much better stuff than Hughes, so coming off a strong outing I'd like to see him get another opportunity.

You are too lonely. My CPU is packed and typing on this blasted iPhone is no fun. I move in on Friday, and will probably take a week to move in. I'll be back around then

As much as I love your sunshiny disposition, I usually when you're not around - because it means the Sox are playing well.

While tapping on this phone blows, I've gotta weigh in on one thing. The Yankee medical staff buttf***ed the Tex issue. Recovery for the surgery he requires is 4-6 months. I get they didn't want to commit to that, but throwing him out there isn't one of those 'well, he can't hurt it worse' situations like Pedroia has. He can hurt it worse, he could rupture the tendon entirely, which would be potentially career devastating. As it stands, that hasn't happened, but Jose Bautista was the example of why the surgery needed to happen in March. The guy tried to come back last yr to no avail. If Tex was operated on in March, there'd be a good chance he'd return before the playoffs and possibly as early as August. Instead, they f***ed around with 'rehabbing it' then shoved the ******** line of how he was 100% pain free and forced him to avoid swinging a weighted bat as a countermeasure and now we have a 1b who is still in pain and still needs the procedure required in March and now we're looking at a completely lost season. The issue spurring this rant is a comment from Cashman about Tex still having pain today in the wrist. Fix the f***ing thing and put this issue to bed. If they try to rehab him again, he's risking tearing the tendon completely

Brian Cashman literally told A-Rod to shut the f*** up today. Comedy gold

Wow, that's pretty unprofessional. I wonder if he's feeling some heat after the moves he made this offseason.

If by unprofessional you mean awesome and hilarious, i agree with you. It doesn't matter how professional you are, everyone has a breaking point. And with the amount of stunts A-Rod has pulled over the last five-six years, i'm surprised he took this long to snap.

It's hilarious because of how dysfunctional it is, and it's A-Rod. But this is Bobby Valentine level stuff.

In all fairness, the Yankees paid him 300 million to stick needles into his arms. They shouldn't be pissed at him about that. Really, why be pissed at a player who is excited to get back on the field? Its just clear that the Yankees don't want anything to do with him anymore.

I get it, but i can kinda understand why he snapped. It's ludicrous that A-Rod's trying to steal the spotlight with the way the Yanks are looking.

Seems like the Yankees could really use a shot in the arm ;)

In all seriousness though, insulting your players through the media isn't at all productive, even if it is A-Rod. I'm not sure how much Cashman was involved in the A-Rod contract, but the Yankees had to know what they were getting themselves in to. He was a known steroids user who announced he was opting out of his contract in the middle of the World Series.

That's the problem. The organization has not given him the green light to start playing. It's just an attention whoring attempt.

I was just listening to a broadcaster explain that teams have rules regarding players sharing organizational information through social media, and the Yanks are especially strict regarding these set of rules

I'm just jealous that myself, or the other millions of people haven't been able to accomplish this. Granted the money, notoriety, rings are good reasons to be jealous of Cashman but this is def another one.

This is all pretty simple to me, and not worthy of any further analysis. A-Rod should not be making public the steps in his recovery, as that should be left up to the Yankees to do. Many sports organizations operate in this manner ... I assume lots of you are Patriots fans, so you experience this first hand. At the same time, it was unwise of Cashman to take his displeasure with A-Rod to the media. These things are always best handled in house.

Absolutely, and I bet ARod is frustrated by the fact that the Yankees are taking it slow with him, and that may be why he took to the net. Regardless, they're taking it slow with him for a reason. They don't want another guy to come back only to go back on the DL

It's not a good thing for us that the Yankees will have ARod, Jeter and Granderson back for the second half. They have managed to stay just a few games back without those guys. Jeter will give the team a huge lift, and 50% of the old ARod is better than Nix. At least Tex will probably be gone for the second half.

Cashman has been a good GM for the Yanks but the guy is actually a nutjob. I'm surprised the Yankees have tolerated his antics this long. Can you imagine if Ben Cherington had a 'Fatal Attraction' stalker like Cash did?
