The Orioles still look tough. Showalter is probably the best manager in the division. They could be better than TB or the Red Sox if their pitching holds up. After their top 2 starters, the Red Sox rotation doesn't look very good. And they still use too many BP pitchers in a game--win or lose. A matter of time when they will be forced to bring up Webster.

 

The Red Sox are stuck in almost the same situation they were in before the Dodger dump--except they are stuck shorter term. Those FAs they signed are untradeable with those inflated contracts--so they are stuck with them for 1-3 yrs.

He was 10-2 with a 2.61 in 2011 with 2 saves.

He was 2-10 with a 5.36 in 2012 with 25 saves.

It was 2 polar opposite seasons. Last year he was forced in to a role that was not best suitable for his talent.

 

In 2 years he has pitched in 124 games and thrown 198 innings. He is 12-12 with 25 saves and a 3.77 ERA. Not bad from a reliever.

 

After 1 pitch to Wells, you have discounted his entire career and abilities. That is a little reactionary.

My guess is that Aceves is just as ******* who is miserable in his skin and will be unhappy wherever he plays. You and I disagree on philosophy and how the team and front office should be run but it hasn't evolved into a pissing contest. We just disagree on things of philosophy. MVP is antagonistic and he and 700 have little love for each other. Just read their exchanges. As for SCM, he is a gullible and naive jerk who actually believes the crap that went on here in 2007 when those Dodger jerks came on here and tried to bug me and were thrown off the board while their board crashed and burned.

 

I was suspended for awhile and voluntarily left on my own after my suspension. I only came back on a year ago last fall. I sent mvp an PM and tried to bring peace to our rivalry but he threw it back in my face and never responded. I now owe him nothing.

 

As for SCM, he doubts I'm a Red Sox fan......totally ridiculous, wouldn't you say? Do I sound like I'm not a Red Sox fan. Hell even VA knows better. She saw me at Fort Myers during ST in 2007. User, you will see that most of the time I insult players on the team or the front office and only after someone answers my post with an personal insult do I retaliate. I try like hell not to get into pissing contests with my colleagues. You and I have disagree with how the team is being run and I don't ever remember calling you out personally until you did it to me first. There may have been a time or two that I did slip but I try not to make it a habit. SCM and I went at it because I ripped Aceves and then he got personal and ripped me. Read the exchanges. mvp has been antagonistic to me and 700 for months and while I would like to send the pissing contest between the two of us, it was I who made the move to end it with a pm to the guy.

 

I just want to discuss baseball on this board. If you or no one insults me personally I will not respond back, and how silly is it that SCM doubts that I am a Red Sox fan? Is he really that out of it to believe that? And if I want to pan Aceves I will and shouldn't have to hear personal insults from that guy because he doesn't agree with me and is an Aceves fan.
