Another different lineup tonight. I just realized with CC going under the knife tomorrow that the whole 2012 season will be played and not once were the Sox able to field their true starting fielders. Hopefully, the answers for 2013 can be found out as we play out the string here in 2012. Go Sox!

Switching back and forth between LLWS game and Sox game. Helps to see a New England team playing good baseball before tuning back to the Sox game.

Already 3-0 in the 5th. Does not look encouraging.

Santana's record coming in was 6-10 with a 5.6 something ERA.

And I hope I never even hear Aviles' name after this season.

Having come in late I take it Cook is having his usual problems keeping the ball between the bottom of the knee and the middle of the knee. I simply do not know how the guy can ever really be successful pitching in the AL East. Even at the top of the knee is up in the zone for him.

Cook is not an answer for this team long term and will only be back next year as insurance in AAA. No worries if he's giving it up tonight - particularly against a team that has a greater chance of knocking the Yankees out of the playoffs.

Hopefully Texas can beat up on Baltimore and the Royals can find a way to beat Tampa.

To be fair we wouldn't have a chance even if we did pitch well, we have 3 hits vs their 11.
The pitching always has us in a hole. No one is being unfair to them. They never do their job. Period.

I a still pretty convinced this team is headed straight down the drain for the rest of the season with the final record being truly gruesome. At this point the rational for bringing more players up from Pawtucket will be that they will likely play better ball with them.

Is anyone else in the LA area being blacked out on this game? Not showing nesn OR fsw feeds!

If your trying to watch it on MLB.TV your not going to be able to. They black it out so the local station will get viewers.

They are in a death spiral.

Why? Tampa is creeping up on taking away the yankoff's God given right to the division title. I don't want to see the yankoffs win anything at all.

Which is why insisting on making this all about Beckett and Lester makes no sense. This rotation is fail, fail, fail, fail, Buch, fail, fail, fail, fail, Buch.

Cook simply "insures" more lost games.

I am sure we want it to be all about Beckett and Lester because it make the problem appear more manageable to have it focused on two guys. That is far from the situation the Sox find themselves in.

I doubt the Yankees miss the playoffs this year, but I wouldn't mind seeing them fall out of the division lead. Either way, my hope is someone from the central or west divisions makes it to the WS this year. IMO, the Angels are the most dangerous team in the AL come October and getting them one of the WC would definitely help put a dent in the Yankees odds of winning another championship.
