That was a nice play by Aviles. He at least has a shot to make a play like that going to his left as he can go left. He has no cross over step going right. We have seen him close to falling over trying to make the first step going right.

Again tonight V has Ceriaco or I guess anybody but Aviles playing 3rd. While he is supposed to play the position, V must have seen something from Aviles in the spring that said to him that he would not use Aviles at 3rd if he was the last infielder he had. By rights you would think that if V had to play Aviles, Ceriaco at SS and Aviles at 3rd would make more sense.

Not at all. Valentine was a huge proponent of Iglesias all during ST. I guarantee you he'd rather have Iggy as to Aviles but that's a FO decision.

Totally mystified by that one. Although I would love to see where Aviles was taking grounders that day in ST when V blew his cork and went ballistic on him. I would be willing to bet real money that Aviles was taking grounders at 3rd that particular day.

I watch the first 2 season. Yikes. That's definitely could be pass for Lackey.
