  1. 4-5 years would seem to be kinda pushing it for me. I dont think I would do anything like that. I do like his numbers though.
  2. Seems like they are on the right track so far.........for now anyways.
  3. They have to. They have no choice, they have to start trying to save some kind of face after last Sept. and now this whole season.
  4. Evil Empire is just having a field day with us right now.
  5. Man its only the 7th but it feels like its the bottom of the 9th the way we're playing here.....
  6. Damn I wish the bases were loaded or at least a man on third when Ciriaco hit that into center field. (sigh)
  7. Im having a hard time with the deciding the lesser of two evils here. Watch the Pres. debate or finnish watching the Evil Empire destroy us.
  8. Right before Bard gave up that home run I was hoping that he could "save face" for the team but then I realized that I was dreaming.
  9. I actually did miss all the bs between A and DP in the dugout.
  10. Top of the 7th, looks like Salty was almost swinging at anything.
  11. Yep we just got very lucky with that run comming in people. Maybe that ump feels sorry for us hu?
  12. Wow it doesn't even look like they are trying out there right now. This is bad and its only the 5th inning.
  13. How does FO determin when someone from AAA is ready to be called up?
  14. Last night was atrocious!!!!!!!!!!!! So what do we do with Aaron Cook now?
  15. Im right there with you. Thats what being a fan is all about. I cant stand they way the "Old Town Team" is playing right now but its not like Im going to run to another team to root for. Well...unless they relocate the Sox and I knnow that will never happen.
  16. Well lets just say for hinds sake that we did get Mauer. Then what would we do with Salty? Or would Salty stay were he is?
  17. That maybe somewhat true but when it comes to pitching, managers need to know when to take one out or not. Of course if you ask any pitcher if they are still ok after giving up 5 runs or so, they will always want to stay in unless they get injured durinig the game. We need managers to "make the call" on them to try to ensure that the team can win games. Im sure there are other areas as well but thats the best one I can sum up.
  18. I agree that was a disaster. That is one game that I can say that I was very angry at.
  19. I agree with you. I thought this was what it was all about going foward anyway, with the younger players starting to take over more. Its like a slow process of the changing of the guard so to speak.
  20. I dont see BV really leaving. He will be here next season.
  21. In addition to getting respect from the players as well. Yeah we could use him.
  22. Since the trade with the Dodgers now and getting some new pitchers that could improve our rotation, where does Buccholz fit in now? Would we switch roles with Lester being the number 2 or 3 man and have Buccholz have the top spot with the new guys filling in the rest?
  23. Ok sooo, getting back to this season, just heard this morning on WEEI that they are planning on brining Bard back up from Pawtuckett. Not sure when this will happen but very very soon. Expect him in the bullpen before the season is out. Well thats what they are saying anyway.
  24. You know Beckett could surprise us all and have a really great game. Well one could only hope. :dunno:
