the human element is f***ing stupid.

imagine if we only had the "human element" in football? I mean, c'mon. So much ******** gets changed with technology.

Wrong part of the order up.

Send in some pinch hitters, only one left is Lavarnway. I suppose you could use Shoppach.

Tomorrow, Harrison against Beckett. Good thing my mojo ran dry because A) they might lose again and B) I'll be golfing so I wouldn't be here for the game thread making anyway.

Gammons wishful thinking...."Lester has to be the #1 on this staff"....Please....Lester has not been able to pull it off for two years running now....all this ******** about "he knows better than to let this stuff with the umps get to him"...well if he knows better than just stop for crying out loud.

It is ridiculous...the guy just self destructs...can't do it but as usual....you can always rely on a Red Sox player, pitcher of hitter to just do exactly what he wants to do...to allow their emotions to run away with them like some 5 year old.....why have I often referred to them as petulant children????? because so many of them act like a bunch of petulant children

Those calls could have gone either way but Lester lost his composure' date=' his focus and the game. Talent is one thing but Lester has got to shake off the things that he can't control.[/quote']

I don't think the guy is in shape. He and Beckett.

We have virtually no chance at victory when we score less than 5 runs. It's a joke.

This team sucks a little more hope out of my soul and continues to ruin my summer.

Next year's rotation:

1. Buchholz

2. Doubront

3. Morales

4. Lester

5. Beckett (depending on how he does tomorrow)

Cook out of the pen?

He is not in shape. On hot humid nights he gets gassed early. A big guy like him at 6'5" 230-240 he should be chucking the rock 120 - 130 times each outing. He's generally gassed at about 90 pitches. He's a huge disappointment.

That looks suspiciously like this year's rotation, the one with the hefty ERA.

^ This makes me gag. How can we expect better results if they trot out the same crew for the next season? I don't think you can. An overhaul is needed. I can see them doing this and telling us that Lackey is our depth option. Of course the whole organization and most of its fans will be whining with a ton of excuses as to why they are in 4th place at the All Star Break 15 games out of 1st place. You can't keep doing the same thing over and over and expect different results. You just can't This crew sucks it hard. Buch is recovering his form, but the rest are terrible. Let's not go gaga over Morales. This guy was a short reliever for 7 seasons with mixed results. Are we seriously going to expect him to step up and be Cole Hamels.

Lackey can't do anything, Beckett has one good year followed by a bad year(he was good until September last year) and as much as it was ERA this season, a lot of it is to blame on Valentine for leaving them in to long. Who do you suggest they pick up to replace this rotation?

All the prospective top FA's have been extended by their teams except Greinke. I'd consider Greinke.

Why would the Angels let him leave? They just got him.

Here it is is August 8, and aside from Morales who has only started 6 games, we don't have a single starter with an ERA lower than 4.48. That's insane.

That's only because Buchholz give up runs but gets a lot of run support.

He'll be an unrestricted free agent. The Angels have no say in what he does. I think we need to trade for an ace, sign Greinke, trade away Beckett and Crawford, and let Ortiz walk.

Greinke in Boston would be absolutely awesome. Imagine, his first bad outing and the Fens boos his ass. He'll be curled up in a ball on his bathroom floor scribbling in blood on the tub "All work and no play makes Zach a dull boy". The sox would need a full time therapist to come out to the mound with McClure, just as DiceK's personal interpreter comes out for him.

McClure, "Zach, what the f*** are you doing man, get off your knees, you are blowing the f***ing game!"

Therapist, "Zach, what he means is, you should feel some inner peace if you put forth your best effort. Let go some of the feeling of repressed anger towards your mother and feel the release of the ball toward the plate. Symbolically, it is your anger dissipating, doesn't that feel good"
