Unload him on somebody that does not mind seeing the ball go past his glove, falling out of his glove, between his legs, etc etc. There must be somebody out there thats' OK with that.

Crawford batting 8th tonight. And the "my confidence went away" crap is about to begin. Please unload this guy on someone.

Batting him 8th seems stupid. Why would you mess with what is working?

This whole batting in the bottom of the order crushing his confidence BS needs to stop.

He's a professional ball player for christ sakes , if he can't produce batting in the bottom of the order then he should retire and give the money back to the Red Sox.

Lots of issues this organization needs to work out before the start of next season. I could care less where they end up at the end of this year. But change needs to be made here- particularly with the pitching staff.

As far as tonight's game, most likely it will be another re run of previous games against the Rangers and Mike Napoli will beat us again single handedly. Atleast this team can actually beat the Yankees. It seems they have no answer for this Rangers squad.

Maybe tonight they prove me wrong.

At some point it may actually become worthwhile to have the whole damn thing fall apart this year...as others have said, this organization will do everything possible to avoid the truth and it might take a complete collapse for them to finally give up maintaining the elution of a team and make the kinds of changes needed.

it would take a complete collapse of revenue for the sox to acknowledge anything. As long as the dopes are going on a nightly basis, then they will continue to deny, deny, deny

The guy throwing against the Sox tonight, Martin Perez, was the #31 prospect coming into this season.

He hasn't been very good this year, though. 5.2 K/9, 4.1 BB/9 in AAA over 15 starts this year.

Patience, please.

Lefty that throws 93-94 according to Brooks. We'll see how it goes.

I suspect that somebody will be brought in here that we will all acknowledge to be a legitimate 1 but Buch could easily end up being our 2 as I think Lester will still be here but likely as a 3 at least next year. If Buch stays out there and does not miss starts I don't think Lester will be straightened out enough to pitch better than Buch.

Does it bother anyone else that the Red Sox got a better return for Lillibridge than they did for Youkilis?!?

De La Torre has a 2.91 ERA over AA and AAA, throws in the high 90's, has a great arm.

Sox at the Phils/Brewers game tonight.

Everyone thinks they are there to see Grienke.

I think they're there to see Lee.

This because they sure aren't there for Pence

I just don't understand how this team can play so consistently poorly. You would think they would look at these games and realize that their performance as a team is incredibly substandard.

Pedey gets into a post game presser last night and says "none of the guys in here like to lose." Well then do something about it. When does it finally dawn on somebody that the same approach every game is simply not working.

Well that was a terrific 1st inning. We have no idea what Perez has or does not have. The Sox never looked at enough pitches to have any idea whether they guy was vulnerable or not.

Over/Under on hits for Aviles tonigh: 0.5. Whats your take?

Mediocre pitcher tonight, good hitter's park, Hanley rumors on the rise... I'd say over.

Haha.

It takes 3 pretty significant events to take the over on a 0.5. This is where we are. Oye.

This team needs Iggy and Lavs up here.

Couldn't agree more on Iggy. I'm fine with a 25-30 HR catcher, and his defense has improved a lot.

I should mention, I don't buy into cERA at all, so that's not a factor for me.

EDIT: I don't see how the bullpen can have a 3.11 ERA, yet the SP have a 4.89 ERA, and it be the catchers fault.

The targets Napoli gives his pitchers are miles better than the targets that Salty gives his. It's not even close.
