Understood wyo. Probably the same for many. I just get so mad. I would have given anything to have had a tenth the talent that the worse player on this team has and to see it pissed away like this just churns my guts inside out.

I guess what is so frustrating is that generally it feels like they accept victory or defeat by the second inning. Need more grit.

Oh I hear ya'. I always say God obviously has a sense of humor as He created me with an incredibly competitive nature and basically no actual talent in anything.

What level of ball did you play?

Oh my God you guys are not going to believe this but I was going to post that I was willing to bet that to add insult to injury the Jays will get at least one more insurance run in the 9th and I did not want to post it cause I feel like I am so critical and disgusted with this team.,,,,sure enough.....well the Sox are consistent...I will give them that.

Melancon continues to suck with an ERA a hair under 6. What a great "under the radar" acquisition! It was more like an "in the toilet" acquisition.

This game was a massive pile of dogshit.

Win tomorrow. I hate night games on Saturday.

I'm going out tomorrow night. I'll DVR it. I can't ruin ever weekend watching these guys s*** on themselves.

Great play by Ross in right.

I never got past high school ball wyo ...that is how much of a no talent bum I was but it was a high school that was all about baseball....that was our deal so it was a very good high school baseball team and it was very competitive in that regard.

If I had gone farther I would have been one of those guys that would have prompted you to say, just get two strikes on him and throw him a curveball...he will be dead meat carting his no talent ass back to the dugout. Crushed fastballs.... complete and utter meat to a curveball.

That's cool. I fell in love with baseball late in life. Really wish I would have had the opportunity to pursue playing. But I am very blessed to have sons that are passionate and talented at playing baseball.

Well this one goes to the top of my most frustrating games of 2012 list. Geez I am going to have to find a priest and have this one exorcized.

Geez I wish NESN would not interview somebody from the opponent when the opponent wins. Why don't they just interview a Red Sox player on a win and nobody when the other team wins.

I don't know if they have had many team meetings lately but this team needs to find find some way to play together. It is getting to where I don't have a way to look at this rationally any more. I don't have a way to grapple with a "team" that plays so disjointedly.

I don't want to just blame it all on the starting pitching always putting them in a hole but it is very very difficult to play always looking up because baseball is one of the few games where you do change how you play based on the score.

To be honest it does not seem that they have ever played anything but disjointedly this year. So to me there is something deeper and more complex and problematic than just the starting pitching putting them in a hole.

We're not going to go undefeated the rest of the way. I fully expect to lose every game our #5 (good old Becks) starts. Win 75% of the other games equates to .600 the rest of the way. That should be enough to get a WC.

Problem is we're also losing every game Lester starts lately.

I think they'll decide in the next few days whether they think this club can make a run. Right now, it looks doubtful. If they decide not, I expect a few heads will roll.

The Sox are going to make a run at this. They're 2 games out of the WC, and I'm sorry, but I'm not buying that the Rays, White Sox, A's, or Orioles are better than the Red Sox.

They're still 5-3 off the break, and can very easily come out and win the next 2 vs the Jays.

They're going to deal for a SP, but it's not going to be a 2 month rental, it's going to be a guy who is under control for at least next year (Garza) or beyond that (Felix type). I know everyone says the Mariners aren't selling Felix, but I think they will.

It's almost August, it's time to buy the fact that teams that have been ahead of us for the last four months just MIGHT be better than we are. To discount all of them doesn't make much sense. Time to cut some ties and make it a better team in the future so we can feel like we did the other night (the walkoff win) a little more often like we used to.

NOT GUNNA HAPPEN, MATE!

:(

It would if the FO wanted any kind of real chance of making/going anywhere in the playoffs.

I agree that having Ells and Crawford back added alot so far but name one guy in the rotation that you would feel confident riding hard in the first round?

Buchholz! Definitely!

You forget that Felix is owned by another team. They have to agree to trade Felix, too. Plus, doesn't it feel like FO is going to do nothing for the deadline? It does to me. Felix is a dream boyboy.
