Lester will be fine. Get rid of his buddy.

Of the two, I agree that Beckett should go.

Lester will be fine if you expect him to fill the role of a serviceable #3-4 SP. Not more.

They dont have an ACE. They haven't had an ACE in years. Beckett has been considered an "ace" once, MAYBE twice in his career......which means it was a fluke, an aberration....not the rule.

Can we stop referring to the Redsox "aces"?

I should put " ".

Yup, he is not an ace, no in this planet.

I can't tell you how disgusting it is to see Sweeney out there busting his hump after crashing into the wall and seeing Gonzales on the bench with a stuffy nose.

Damn prima donna.

He needs his mommy to make him soup.

Doesn't even make up for the raw speed and impact level that occurs in a hockey game. Especially at the NHL level.

P.K. Subban just fell over because a baby looked him in the eye...

Ryan Dempster is available. Veteran starter who know what pitching is.

I feel like Dempster would just follow in suit of all our other SP as a 3rd, maybe 4th starter. We need an impact SP. NOW!

And A.G. just left the game with a stuffy nose....Subban's a twat anyway.

Embarrassing weekend for the Red Sox. Haven't played any games yet in New York. If this team is going to have any chance of doing anything this year, they will have to step up big and win these types of series. Perhaps the tough schedule in the 2nd half will play in their favor as they have the opportunity to make up ground themselves as opposed to hoping some other team does it for them.

This kid wants to stay in the Bigs. He does everything well' date=' and he is a very smart, fundamentally sound player.[/quote']

I have been mentioning him here for a long time-since Pedroia's initial thumb injury. He should be here instead of Punto. Permanently.

That's what I'm talking about. Bring up all the kids and at least let us enjoy the rest of the season.

And get rid of Theo's billion dollar babies.

Lester and Beckett are both to inconsistent to be considered aces. For the most part, not wanting to put words in peoples mouths but I think those of us that questioned the ability of 1,2, 3 in the rotation to hold up their end was as much based on concerns that they would not pitch at their peak potential when they did pitch as on injury potential which was probably greatest with Buch. Buch came on gradually but really did show as the best of the three of them with Lester to up and down from a performance perspective and Beckett spending to much time missing starts and then unable to come back and pitch well after being down for a period.

Screw AGon and his cold.

Its not like he has to play again tomorrow, right?

Seriously. I know that Mazz et al are going to be all over him because of that.

Whatever, right? Does it really matter right now?

IMO what matters is cleaning this sordid house and getting a decent team on the field in 2014 or 2015. For now, lets see guys like Kalish and Lavarnway and Ciriaco out there.

I love what he did in spring training, I didn't understand why he was not in the roster since April.
