No Pedroia tonight. Bobby V is sitting him as a precaution. Punto (yuk!) is filling in for him. Here's where you miss Scutaro. Punto is good for at least 1 bunt attempt.

I am really worried that Pedey is neither going to really be himself nor really recover either unless he really lets himself heal. It almost looks like he finds a way over some period of time to find a way to hit and then the stress is to much for the injury and he needs some time just to let the throbbing subside.

Hard for me to imagine that this is going to work out for us through the remainder of the season.

This team needs to continue to win. They badly need a winning streak right now and hope the yankees lose a couple of ball games.Cant lose 1 and then win 2 and lose 2 games after that.

Nava and Kalish bat 1,2 tonight. WMB is out and Youk is in. As noted earlier, Punto is in for Peday and Punto is batting 9th. Interesting that Nava and Kalish are 1,2 in the order.

By the way....I totally expect Felix to out-dual this bum Nolasco tonight. No reason to expect him to be able to keep the Sox down although I always prefer WMB in the lineup as opposed to Youk.

Really interested to see how Nava-Kalish do batting 1-2 in the lineup.

Would always prefer to score first but Nolasco should not be any kind of a mystery for the Sox.

Second times through the order Nolasco usually gets creamed. Would like to see the Sox at least get back that first inning run now though.

When you have a guy like Pedroia sitting on the bench, you simply can't sit Middlebrooks for Youkilis. Youkilis is killing the team.

Another run on the way here.

This s*** is getting really old. We cannot surrender lots of runs to weak hitting teams like the Marlins.

Well at least Felix has not given up bunches of runs. Giving up extra base hits and base hits to the first hitters in innings is usually the start of a rally. Unless Nolasco has gotten an infusion of Cy Young DNA since last time out he should give up some runs.

I agree though about playing Youk when you are not playing Pedey. Don't want Ortiz to have to be the whole offense.

Nolasco is junk ballin' something fierce tonight so far. Sox are waiting to see the fastball that so far has not been forthcoming.

Oh poor Nolasco...all those wasted junk balls only to leave a pitch in the worst possible spot to Aviles.

Nolasco...junk balls down in the Zone = at least presents a bit of a challenge

Nolasco...junk balls up in the Zone = Don't park your car behind the Monster!

Second time through and Nolasco is starting to have to come to the Sox more. Sox runs should be on the way.
