There's a pretty massive difference between the two players.

You are right: Bard stunk. Gonzalez is just mediocre, like Drew.

Gonzalez has been MVP caliber for pretty much his entire career. 2 bad months is hardly going to convince me otherwise. You act as if the guy is an unproven prospect or it's his first year in Boston. We know he can do it.

Its time he starts doing it then. Past time.

gonzo sucks at every aspect of the game

He has sucked all year. Its really not worth discussing what he "can do" or what "he has done his entire career". That doesn't help the team right now, does it.

He's young and he's healthy. Its not like his career is over after a few bad months. His swing is off, that's about it.

That is why he has two gold gloves. He does not suck. He is in a slump right now, that is all. He will come around. There is so much hate for Gonzo. I know that he has not met expectations this year, but he will start to get it going. We are only 1/3 of the way through the season. Do you want me to bring up Pedroia's quote?

I am not sure he is healthy Pal. He had a shoulder injury, hit in the HR derby and since then is the spitting image of Nick Johnson. Singles hitter with some doubles, the occasional HR and some walks.

I am somewhat confident that he will eventually turn it around. However his team needs him NOW, not in three months.

I think what torques people off is that AGons seems totally stubborn about this early swings thing now...almost like he is reading his press clippings (even the media has caught on) and telling the world to f*** off....but career numbers or no it is just a stupid way to play baseball.

I know that is what torques me off, not the slump. I was a no talent bum that had to be smart at the plate or I was just a total FAIL. So it is pretty tough for me to watch a guy with all that talent just do this s*** cause in reality even if you have talent up the ying yang it is just bad baseball.

I agree. He has really had some ABs that are far from intelligent.
