I don't know why we are always f***in' around with the runners on base in the first place. Most times they are slow as molasses guys that aren't going anywhere until we move them along with walks, balks, passed balls and wild pitches. Just concentrate on the batter for once can ya'

So I am watching the Orioles game as well, and they just showed an infographic that was conveying that when the Orioles score 5+ runs in a game, they are much more successful than when they do not.

I am grateful for NESN.

From a non-displaced fracture? I snapped my humerus bone and I started to go into shock.

It was a traumatic injury, sudden and severe. I think shock is likely given the immediate swelling.

Yeah, it is, but I was thinking more about guns blazing. R4 takes the Cold War to the ring.

Shock implies massive blood loss quickly. I have never seen that after a broken arm. Leg: yes. Bigger blood vessels there.

The Red Sox are undefeated when they give up zero runs. True story.

When I snapped my humerus bone, I had no blood loss. I remember getting sweaty and faint and the nurse started looking concerned and was taking my blood pressure. I said to her "what's wrong? I thought I just hurt my arm. Is there something wrong?" She told me that I looked to be going into shock. I'm no MD, and I'm not sure what shock is, but she told me that my blood pressure was dropping.

Here is how you define shock. Medically, it generally implies blood loss. You can be hypotensive without shock. You gotta be hurt pretty bad to be in shock without losing blood. People faint due to low blood pressure, but are healthy otherwise. They are not in shock. That happens all the time, most commonly in teen age girls.

Pathology . a collapse of circulatory function, caused by severe injury, blood loss, or disease, and characterized by pallor, sweating, weak pulse, and very low blood pressure
