Burning up the pen which is the only facet of this team that has tried to improve.

They shoulda made Beckett stay out there in the latest shitpile he made.

Was Beckett smiling or crying when he came off the field? He had an odd expression on his face.

I would have left him in there and forced him to either go nine innings regardless of the score or refuse to go out. Then they could have released him and refused to pay him for violating his contract.

56 pitches? I would've made him pitch to 120, regardless of the outcome. This team is a lost cause.

127. In honor of his last game.

The pen was a matter of getting the closer established and then getting the other pieces in place. While the pen was coming together its problems only served to mask the real issues with this team. 1,2, 3 in the rotation basically suck and the offense is not really that potent. Take those run explosions away and they are not nearly scoring enough for a team with its obvious pitching and defensive deficiencies.

One sliver gets home...two more slivers left on the bases to go with the three left there last inning.

Put Andrew Miller in the rotation the man can pitch!

this thinking has caused the guy to be a journeyman for his entire career. He cannot repeat his delivery out of the windup. He is exactly where he should be

At least the Yankees are letting us stay close

Hahah they are like our cute older brother. Feel bad for us so they lose. Make us feel better. Ugh. Ya I don't know what I'm saying anymore. All this losing has officially made me go crazy. Like jack Nicholson from the shining crazy.

To much focus on the yanks is not going to help this year. Neither team has the pitching in my view. Both will likely end up looking up at the Rays and that might not be all.

I thought the Rays could be had this year but the Sox and Yanks have both run into problems that will not likely go away easily I think.

It's not even frustrating anymore. It's rather comical watching the 2 highest payrolls in baseball flounder in the AL East cellar at a combined $380M payroll and 28-32 record.

I said TB was going to take the division, NYY 2nd and we 3rd.

I'm going to have one mistake. We are going to finish 5th in the division.
