I said TB was going to take the division, NYY 2nd and we 3rd.

I'm going to have one mistake. We are going to finish 5th in the division.

Derek Lowe not pitching at his best tonight.

He doesn't need to. All he has to do (or all ANY pitcher needs to do) is to keep our score under 7 runs. Then we lose automatically.

Why can't V leave well enough alone. He seems to empty the pen every night mainly because he can't stand to much of a good thing. He keeps running guys in and then out that are succeedling for the most part until he finds somebody that shits the bed in which case he leaves that guy in to get hammered???? What the f***!

I know he does not want to blow a guy out so that he can't use them for a few days but all he is setting himself up for is exhausting the whole bunch of them at the same time. Getting up to get ready to go in and then going in every night is what really burns arms out.

I should have mentioned that the starters are a different story...they get to stay in until the game is hopelessly out of reach. With these guys that is usually something around the 3rd inning.

I don't believe a manager is the cure here either. V was not a great hire but he is more like the last straw as opposed to the root of the problem.

WHAT THE f***! Where is the offense man?

This is vintage Derek Lowe. He goes deep into games. If he has the sinker working and a solid infield he is very tough to beat.

We have three hitters in our lineup. That's all we got. Daniel nava is batting 6th. That says it all.

He was hired because the FO didn't want to address the core of the problem Beckett et al

7th inning. The Guardians still have 7 runs, all charged to BUMKETT. Seems everyone else has pitched fairly well.

How much longer is the FO going to stand by while the franchise burns? How much longer before they actually DO something? How much longer are they going to force the fans to watch a Little League pitching staff?

Oh yea...tonight is going to kill that starter ERA even worse than it is. Beckett gave up what, 7 in 2 1/3 or something like that? It is going to be right around 6 as it is I think.

Starters: 173 IP @ 5.77 ERA

Relievers: 104 IP @ 4.33 ERA

Not including tonight. That starter ERA is trending towards 6.00

Where do you find those stats? Baseball reference, com?

Nava actually has one of our RBI's, so don't hate on the kid just yet. I think we need to go younger. I think Aviles is actually doing okay at SS. I would love to see us bring up Lavarnway as our starter and get rid of either Salty or Shoppach in a trade, along with Beckett, Youk, and McDonald. The offense will come. It does not help when you have to score more than 7 runs to win a game. Our bullpen is surprisingly doing decent.

People call me a FO apologist' date=' but anyone who's been here long enough should remember me being livid at Beckett's contract extension. He's had [i']one[/i] good season here.

2007

Not many people realize that. His career ERA with the Sox is over 4.

Some ace.
