Well I would have gladly taken wall ball there iortiz...hell I was callin' for it. Agons got a couple that he could have gone that way with but just did not get there and by then he was set up for that pitch down and in which is usually a good pitch for a left hander to hit.

I guess if I wanted to complain on that at bat...Agons had to think he was coming in there and with two strikes I would have preferred that AGons stop looking to the outside corner to wall ball and just protect the plate. He might have had a shot at that. However the golden rule...good pitching beats good hitting and that was a very good sequence from the pitcher.

AGon will hit and he'll hit plenty. However, with two virtual rookies in the starting rotation, we are not going anywhere. I was hopeful for a period, but reality is setting in. These guys might learn to pitch, but there will be plenty of growing pains on their way to becoming real starters. They are a long way from being good starters. These are the freakin A's. They suck bad.

When the Yanks tried inserting two rookies into their rotation in 2008, it was the only year they didn't make the playoffs since 1993.

Its called a "rebuilding year", Red Sox style.

Next year we could have a very strong team.

Hindsight is 20-20.... But the way our BP is pitching' date=' if Bobby pulls bard sooner we are tied 1-1 or at worst down 2-1[/quote']

If he pulls Bard sooner its 8-1 because our bullpen is awful.

Kinda hope your joking..... Cause obviously they aren't "awful" tonight.... You really think if he goes to the pen a couple batters earlier, they would of imploded?

Doesnt matter if our pitching sucks if this offense can barely produce one run. Red Sox are so' date=' so streaky.[/quote']

Good pitching will shut down our offense every night. It will shut down any offense. Too bad we don't have good pitching...so far.

You must have missed the first 23 games this season.

They are awful.

That horrible Orioles pitching staff just shut out the Yankees tonite, 5-0. They allowed them one run last night and two runs the night before-in Yankee stadium.

But I am content with our "lower tier" pitching staff because....well...because they are lovable and they are ours.

Umm seriously though.... What does whatever they have done so far this yr have to do with the FACT that the bullpen HAS shutdown the a's today???? Your saying if Bobby went to the pen 3 batters sooner we would be down 8-1??? Please explain?
