The question is, can he locate for a full 6-7 innings every 5th day? He's shown significant fatigue issues late in games and is prone to pretty inexcuseable lapses in control against pitiful hitters. He has to rein that in or he will be in the pen earlier than expected

If he can gain some semblance of command, he could be an ace. That's the issue with Bard. The target seems to move on a pitch by pitch basis

it may take some time, he isn't use to throwing this many pitches. He seem to gassed around 90 pitches.

The A's have good pitching and sometimes very good pitching but Geez they are not necessarily headed for the HOF. I thought they would struggle with Milone but did not think they would get blitzed by these two guys last night and tonight.

Some people here thought we would have no problems with the A's pitching. Well, for one game, we didn't.

A's pitching is definitely good enough to be troublesome and that should be expected. The Sox are getting blitzed by these guys. Even with deficiencies in the line up I don't expect the Sox to get mowed down.
