I was going to make it. Your mojo sucks. :thumbdown

Kidding by the way. I didn't really care that we lost yesterday but I was really disappointed that we couldn't bring in any runs. Last year even though we started 0-6 the offense showed. We need to get that clicking asap. That's our best attribute. Here goes nothing. Go Sox! Finally I can catch a game. We're closed for Easter so I can finally relax.

Win or lose, it'd be nice to have a strong performance for Buch and to see the bats come alive.

First winning streak starts today!

The heart of this team needs to wake up and right away! (Ells, Peddy, Youk)

Aviles needs to realize that his role in this team has changed. You are not a bench player anymore. You are our titular SS, so... take it!

Ross needs focus.

I want to see Buch against this kind of offenses.

Our BP needs take away the pressure.

Do not wait until we are 0-10 or something to start winning; WIN it now!.

Let's go Red Sox.

RED SOX (0-2)

Punto 3B

Ellsbury CF

Pedroia 2B

Gonzalez 1B

Ortiz DH

McDonald LF

Sweeney RF

Aviles SS

Shoppach C

Pitching: RHP Clay Buchholz (6-3, 3.48 in 2011)

Hm. That's weird. Seems like after yesterday's game, someone said that Ellsbury would be moved down to the 2 slot and that same person got crushed for saying that.

Don't care how we get the win today, just win!! Would be nice to see some offense today. This offense will need to come up big against Toronto. Perhaps today is the day to light a spark. Go Sox!!!!

I'm fine with the line up changes. Everyone looked uninspired yesterday, maybe dropping the top half down a spot and Youk riding pine will be a wake up all

Ross, Youkilis, and Salty given the day off? Guess the season is already wearing on them.

Go Sox, right? Not really expecting a win but I would certainly love to steal one in Detroit before heading off to Canada.

I would be so happy for Buch really more than anybody else if he comes up big today. As I said yesterday, nobody expects Buch to be the stopper. It is not the fact of the two losses it is the way they are losing. Yesterday, they did not show up at all on the second day of the season!

If Buch does do the job today, the other thing I will be looking for is whether Buch gets the Lavarnway treatment from last year. Remember when Lavarnway hit his first ML homer, came back to the dugout and they treated him like he was a leper? If Buch does pitch well enough to put the Sox in serious position to win today and that dugout does not kiss his ass I will loose every last bit of respect I have left for this bunch.

As much as it pissed a bunch of people off, Jonathan Papelbon's comments about Red Sox fans are absolutely and unequivocally true.

Hopefully Buchholz gets it done today. Go Sox!

Hate these damn schedulers. We get Tigers, Jays, Rays, Rangers, Yanks in that order to start the season. So our break is heading north to face the Jays.

I believe what Papelbon said is that he thinks the Philllies fans are more knowledgeable than the Red Sox fans, that they are a more intelligent group.

On what basis do you think that is true? Do you have a data base for each group of fans? I doubt Papelbon does either.

I would say that the Red Sox fans are the most vociferous and ardent fans around.

Papelbon was blowing more hot air.

Hate to say it Jung, but I don't think there are going to be any pushovers this year, what with the pitching staff we have. No doubt the first five teams will be tougher than most, but even light hitting teams will probably feast on our bullpen and maybe some of our SP too at times.

Pretty much how I see it. We looked dead in a lot of areas the first 2 games. I just want to see some kind of action.

Pretty much. Truth hurts sometimes.

Odd thing about this lineup is that if I am not mistaken it is the Sox LH hitters that have eaten this guy up. Would have thought they would have stacked the LH at the top if anything.
