Happy Easter Boys (and VA/ladies)

 

I finished my midnight shift, went home and slept and then had Easter dinner with the family. We watched the masters, and I didn't bring up the Red Sox and hoped no-one would spoil the outcome of the game so that I could watch it later on...

 

What a game. We fought hard and had a bunch of positive things happen. After the 4+ hours of back and fourth, I was devastated to see it end like that as I am sure you guys were also. I wish I could have watched it while on here with you guys (mostly for BornToRun commentary lol)...But I look forward to being here with you guys for the Toronto game today.

 

Last year we were like 2-10 or something and then came back strong, so let's just keep our heads up and look forward to improving from this point. Also, pretty stoked that the NYY are also 0-3, not that it makes up for us being 0-3 but yeah.

 

Detroit can eat f***, they really looked good and we have to give them that. Here's to sweeping the Blue Jays.

He's mediocre with slightly above average track record. He's a recognized name, putting him above a bunch of other guys you have never heard of. Lefty. Weird delivery. Looks hard to hit, but has never been among the league's best.

 

He wouldn't be an obvious upgrade over Melancon or Morales for the closer position, but he could fill in one of their roles if, say, Morales were promoted.

There was a pretty deep pool of relievers available in the off season. Cherrington was unaware that the ChiSox were shopping Santos, and he ended up in Toronto. I think if you check the FA tracker and the trades, you will see lots of relievers better than Melancon.

Cole Hamels is gonna be a free agent in December. I am all for staying cheap on pitching this season and throwing the kitchen sink at him in the off season. That guy would be amazing for us

Unless he gets extended like Cain did.

The crack head manager was at fault. He should have sent Feliz back out after they regained the lead. Instead he sent out Darren Oliver. It was one of those moves where you just scream out "Oh, no!" if you are rooting for that team.
