They should release him into a pool of vinegar filled with piranha.

Um, you know, piranha specially bred and genetically engineered to survive in vinegar. Uh..yeah, also, something with fire.

Piranha's generally aren't a threat to humans. There have been studies proving that they generally won't go after humans due to the "big fish vs. little fish" theory. Most isolated bite incidents come when there is low water levels, and near the docks of fishing areas where fish are gutted and fish entrails spill into the water.

While an occasional piranha bite may occur, they typically won't swarm which would give you plenty of time to get out. I don't think there have been many (if any) recorded human deaths due to piranhas.

In fact the whole Theodore Roosevelt thing was a setup where natives specifically starved piranhas and threw them in a concentrated (blocked off) tributary and threw the cow in.

Fair enough, just throw him into an active volcano then.

Hey, everyone, Steve Irwin is back from the dead!

You must be tremendous fun at parties.

For the record, I know piranha aren't generally man-eating, and at the risk of doing what you were doing (destroying someone else's mediocre joke with pompous and dry recitation of animal behavior), if you drop someone in a small tank with a school of piranha they will eventually eat them.

Jenks seems like one of those guys who potentially does super-weird s*** in his idle-time/personal life.

I would not be surprised if this guy does some really hickish/taboo stuff in the privacy of his own home. <_>

Bobby Jenks reportedly built a home-made rocket in an attempt to defend himself if we were ever invaded by the communists. He ended up using it to try and launch small animals into space.

He also allegedly collects porcelain toilets in his backyard in some junkyard-esque setup, where he practices his shooting, with a 12 gauge shotgun.

Aside from that, he once attempted to build an '87 camaro from the ground up so he could race it. It is now sitting on blocks in his front yard, with no engine or wheels.

It is also said that if you are in the proximity of his home on a saturday night, you can hear Shinedown's version of "simple man" blasting on repeat.

LOL...

Exactly.

He refuses to sleep unless wearing a professionally custom-made tinfoil hat. He enjoys "cutting himself" and enjoys watching innocent animals suffer on Sunday afternoons.

In other words, he's our Joba.

Good stuff!

I even heard he could pitch well.

I'm beginning to wonder if Jenks and Chamberlain are brothers. Bunch of fat drunk hicks

Hahaha. Isn't Chamberlain a Native American?

Is not like I'm wishing him back' date=' but what is his status these days?, was he released?[/quote']

The only thing I have heard is that Jenks would return in the middle of the season according to Bobby V. That was sometime back in Spring Training right before he got his DUI. I do not know if anything else has changed, but I hope that we do not see this guy again. Release his dumb ass and just pay him the rest of his money so that we do not have to see him again. It was a bad move by Theo to sign this guy. He was a total bust. 12 million down the drain.

The sox are trying to buyout Bobby Jenks and end their association with him

The guy got operated on and it was botch. Got doped and had a DUI and never faithfully demonstrated willingness to make good faith in rehab. The Sox deserves compensation by getting back every penny he didn't deserved.

And thus ends the Red Sox career of Bobby Jenks. It also probably ends his career in total unless he decides to sign in Tampa next yr, where I'd expect him to save 47 games and win the comeback player of the year

Thanks for the memories, Bob. Glad to hear you're doing well now.

I would be shocked to see him back in baseball.

Had some talent. Too bad.

He did have some talent at some point. But he is also overweight and also a complete dumbass at times. He wasted a good opportunity in Boston. The DUI just put the icing on the cake that sums up his time with the Red Sox. I am glad we got rid of him and that we do not have to pay him 1.5 million of his salary this year.
