That's f***ing ******** and you know it. All the older posters seem to fade away hmm I wonder why. Over at talkpats numerous posters who have been here for a while dislike most new posters. They come here with their drama from some other board and bring that s*** over here. They swear they're no it alls. They can't even carry on a legit discussion without spewing some nonsense. I don't blame the older posters giving the new poster s***. Most of them deserve it. s*** even the mods want nothing to do with this site. Over a year this site ha changed dramatically.

 

Most of us have been posting here for about two months, since the end of the season. None of us have been regular posters here for a year.

Your problems have nothing to do with us.

You have two major metro newspapers, two cable sports channels four major broadcast TV stations several sports radio stations as well countless regional media outlets from Hartford Conn to Portland Me all covering the club daily..

 

People talk! Given this environment it is not that difficult for savy reporters ranging from Gammons, Ryan, Macadams, Buckley etc etc.to figure out and pass to those of us who follow this club intensely the inner workings of this club sufficiently to draw the intelligent conclusions that we do. While it may not reach the level of ontological certitude demanded by some, it is sufficient for the purposes of a baseball forum.

Not really. I get along better with some the NYY fans out here. There is nothing wrong with challenging or questioning the FO etc. But the constant Negative s*** from a lot of the posters IS getting old. 2011 sucked in a HUGE way. Let it go and focus on 2012 and see what happens instead of s***ing on every f***ing thing and move they make.

 

No one saw our huge collapse in 2011 coming. Who knows what will happen in 2012. And if any of us do, there is nothing we can do about it. I'll try to be more patient with all of the negative s*** if people will deal with some of our "not so negative and more postive s***"

Hold the f*** on. You can't say s*** either because you vanished for a LONG ass time. You know when I first joined this site I've talked to the top 20 in post on this site. ORS, Spudboy, TheKilo, the mods, Jacko, a700, riverside slugger, Dipre, etc. I'd say they're the older posters no? I can say whatever the hell I want. Most are gone now. Some of them told me they don't go on this site because of the way the newer posters are. I don't care what people think of me on a f***ing message board. As a matter of fact when I joined I was well respected by most of the older posters. People probably don't like me because I have the balls to say s*** no one else will. I speak my mind and people don't like it. Sucks for them cause I don't care. I joined in 2010 and we're almost in 2012. I have over 10,000. I think Ican tell a difference in posting style. Hell even mods wonder wtf happen to the site. Reading gamethreads was f***ing torture. Even when we're up by a million people can't have any f***ing fun. They're free to post here I don't care. While there has been a lot of disagreement lately, that has to be expected coming off a season like 2011 and waiting 2 months for the hint at any good news or steps in the right direction. The news has been real slow almost nonexistent, but the discussion has been surprisingly lively. Now, we finally have something positive to discuss.

 

I like the Bobby V move. He was my second pick after LaRussa, but LaRussa was not a possibility from the get go. Bobby V will be an interesting ride.

 

I liked Tito. He's my all time favorite Sox manager. It was just time for a change of course. Bobby V has a very different style, and he is a much more effective game manager than Tito. Tito bears some blame for 2011, but it wasn't all his fault, and it doesn't negate all the good things he did. He wasn't bad at managing the bullpen until he adopted his 7-Run rule over the last couple of seasons. That was hard to watch or understand.

Truth be told Elk, we were posting the stuff those writers are now getting paid for writing in the middle of the summer. We were right about the vast majority of the major issues. I for one take no pleasure in posting about my concerns about the competence of Epstein and Francona or the pressing need to clean house. I wish it weren't so. I wish we were already a professional team that behaved professionally. We aren't. Many of us called for hiring a disciplinarian as manager, and now that too has come to pass. Unfortunately we still have a remnant of the previous regime as GM, but I think he won't be long for the organization...IMO, of course.

Its not ALL negative. I am very happy with the way things have transpired. The Sox missed the playoffs and that forced the changes necessary to make our team a factor again. We hired a disciplinarian and a good field general as manager, if only for a short time. Other changes are brewing. Things are certainly looking up, but patience will now be required. While it would be wonderful if we could compete for a ring in 2012, I don't see that happening. It will take time for us to dig out of the mess Epstein left us in. But now there is at least a light at the end of the tunnel.
