Bard has not been very reliable of late' date=' and now you might rely on him for multiple innings tomorrow?[/quote']

Well, this is all we have... and at this point 3 Rs insurance is not reliable as well, and the priority is this game, tomo we'll figure it out.

I am happy for the kid but did you see how that thing carried over the left fielder. He was there waiting for it to come down and it ends up about two rows back.

Salty, I would visit the Boston landmarks the next few weeks if I were you. We are all so sick of your act.

Geez did you see Crawford swing at that worm burner. That thing never got over ankle high and he was swinging like it was belt high, middle in.

Just so you're aware, Salty was the 6th best catcher in the AL (with 300+ ABs) according to fangraphs, ahead of Suzuki, Mauer, Pierzynski, Arencibia, Torrealba and Olivo.

I wouldn't have a problem with this. But Salty is more experienced. I don't know...

He's declining, hasn't been producing offensively or defensively as of late.

Yea I guess some folks have been impressed but I am not sure I have seen a worse defensive performance over the course of a season from a catcher...throws have been terrible, he can barely receive the ball (stabs at the ball like a little leaguer) and I am still not convinced he gets more than a C- grade for the way he handles pitchers.

What worries me about Salty is his defense/catching-fundamentals. How good is this kid at defense?

Get a dozen of Lavernway's rookie cards.

This guy maybe the RHd power they've needed all season.

There he is, folks, sitting in Pawtucket.
