Good for you. You've said that many times. See ya.

That's because I keep getting my hopes up, which is a good thing. Something a "pink Hat" would not bother with eh 305?

Girardi is basically blaming Selig for the Yankees handing the wild card to the Rays. With only one day off between the end of the season and the start of the playoffs, Girardi is going to protect his starters and relievers as much as possible. He is complaining that he doesn't want to affect the ' integrity of the wild card' , but he will protect his playoff pitching as a first priority. HA!

If you're not a pink hat you wouldn't be so butthurt over it all the time. You say you're done with this team and we won't make the playoffs. Good for you then you don't need to be here. If you want to stick around and ride out till the end be my guest. I just call em like I see em and you act like a pink hat. What's funny is I'm not the only one. Funny eh Reck?

just play good baseball, the rest will take care of itself. Just play good, thats all....thats all you have to do. If you lose 2 outta 3 to the Orioles to conclude the season with your playoff hopes in limbo, then you have no business being there.

LOL I'm not bothered by what you call me. Your assumtions are that. Just out of place assumptions.

No reason to explain who's my team to the likes of you.

Hell to the yes. Those f***ers better be playing balls to the wall tomorrow. Bedard goes 5+ IP and we score a f***load of runs to take care of business.

Colon needs to step his fat f***ing ass up tomorrow and beat the Rays into the ground

Personally, I don't believe you said "f*** the Yankees" nearly enough times.

He's right. Yesterday would have been CC's turn in the rotation, but with only one day off, he'd start the POs on 3 days rest.

They definitely don't belong there. If you can't beat the O's, you wouldn't do jack s*** in the playoffs.

At least we're facing Britton (10.80 ERA vs BOS in 2011) and Simon (5.80 ERA vs BOS in 2011) over the next two games.

Bedard and Lester need to get their s*** together and pull this team out of the grave. Tampa will lose one of the next two, so just win out.

The Yankees will be going through the motions. The only way Tampa loses one of the two games is if 1 of their starters shits the bed and gives up a big early inning.

Girardi's focus should be getting the Yankees ready for the playoffs.

He should ignore the Rays vs Red Sox thing. His priority is with his team.

Have you seen David Price in high pressure situations??

Last game, against TOR, he was throwing the ball all over the place. He let up 5 runs, but only 2 of them were earned. The other 3 were on his own errors. He does not throw well under pressure. Just look at last year's post season numbers. 4.97 ERA.

Rays lose on Wednesday. And if Colon can somehow muster up a decent start, the Yankees can beat Hellickson as well.

Yes, I've given up hope. But man oh MAN wouldnt it be awesome for the Sox to somehow make the playoffs by the skin of their teeth and then just steamroll the Yankees in the playoffs.

I did see that inning where Price imploded. It was a circus. He threw the ball all over the field, but my recollection is that he has been tough on the Yankees.

If I had a nickle for every time you made an optimistic prediction this month that went down in flames, Id have a lot of nickels.

Hey man. Law of averages. One of them HAS TO come true at some point!!

Wait. s***. I said the Rays would lose 3/4 to the Yankees last week, and I was right. Son of a bitch, my next 100 predictions are doomed. :(

Lots of variables tonight.

Can Bedard come out and give this team a boost?

Can the offense come out and put up a few crooked numbers, and take the pitching out of the game?

Can the rookie, Hellickson, come out and calm the nerves to be effective in the biggest game of his career?

Who knows? It's why they play the game. The Rays could very well lose tonight, and the Sox could very well win.

all of this is so true. i think offensively we'll have a big night, it's really going to come down to bedard. it sucks that we had to use aceves as much last night. and as well as the rays have been doing, now that they caught us, they're going to feel some pressure as well. it's not smooth sailing for them.

The Yanks do not have a starter for Wednesday. As of now, Girardi is planning to pitch a patchwork of relievers - but probably no one critical to the postseason. Girardi knows it will appear that he is handing the game to the Rays, but he blames that on Selig's one day off before Friday's first postseason game.

The upside to the Sox missing the playoffs is that it becomes more likely that Francona will not be resigned ( according to Rosenthall). While Theo is under contract for 2012, Tito is not. However, wouldn't the Sox need to extend Theo before hiring a new manager? If Theo leaves after 2012, a new GM doesn't want to be stuck with the old GM's manager.
