  1. now we just need some quick innings from Lester....
  2. I'm so glad that we signed more sub-par defensive outfielders.....smh.....
  3. Cody Ross = warning track power
  4. I can't stand his ten second pause before calling a strike....
  5. ^ i agree. these past few weeks have seemed like forever! i keep staring at my tickets for the Sox/Yanks game at Steinbrenner field..... come on March 13th! i like to keep my optimism about this team so far this off-season. i have high hopes for this year and the only way i will change is if the team convinces me i need to. this team can/will play good ball. i have watched CC far too many years down here in Tampa to think he'll have a repeat year like last year. i see A-gon having a repeat year, although i would like to see him carry on the monster numbers after the AS break ( i'm a firm believer in not participating in Home-run derbys. it somehow seems to mess hitters up). hope BV will mesh well with the players, but overall i see good things to come for this team. no way we have the same start/finish as last year. no way. Just get to October!
  6. the good thing about 2009 jerseys is that if you buy over 10, you get shipping for free. so if you get some buddies together that want some, you're really only paying about $20 each. the only thing that i'm not sure about is the hats. my head size fluctuates between hats. not worth the risk. but i'm loading up on the green sox jersey that i have always wanted and never wated to pay $80 for, old school Bird and Mchale jerseys, and some Bucs jerseys. i wish that they could do personalized jerseys.......
  7. i have friends that have got them from 2009jerseys.net. they said that the shipping is free if you purchase 10 items or more. and i think most jerseys range from $15-25. i can't access the site from work, but it's legit. just get a few people together and go to town on some jerseys. they have soccer, football, hockey, etc.
  8. His beard looked freshly dyed....lol
  9. I can see their kids' birthday parties now..... Brady, Youk, Superbowl and World Series rings everywhere.... Victoria Secrets Angels everywhere.... Their children will not suffer to make friends....
  10. i have Brighthouse cable.... i'm not sure how large of a cable company they are outside of the Tamp Fl area. But i pay about $140 a season to get the baseball package every year. it's not too bad. i have the option to get just NESN, but they don't broadcast the games live. it will cut out. i was just wondering if they broadcasted the ST games if you purchased the package earlier. i think MLB channel airs some games too.
  11. can anyone reccomend a different site than Stubhub for tickets? i'm using my tax return $$$ to head up to the Yankee game on 4/20, but tickets for upper rightfield seats start at like $200 each!!!! are there any local Boston sites where people sell tickets?
  12. no baseball player just wants to retire.... rare circumstances it happens. They're athletes. Athletes want to compete. It's hard to just walk away from what has been your life for so many years. Some refuse to believe that they just don't have good stuff anymore. Our F.O. needs to make Wake realize that, but in a dignified way. i understand that it's a business, but there are right and wrong ways to let players go in my opinion. And it has to be harder for WAke seeing as though he is so close to the record. But he has no real value to this team anymore. i cringe whenever he's on the mound. He has put in some great years with the Sox, but he's only doing more harm than good at this point. Maybe let him pitch one game for a few innings to a sold out crowd and let him walk off the field waving his cap for his final hoo-rah! Job well done and we thank you for all that you have done....
  13. hmm.... i wonder if i order the baseball package now that i would be able to see the ST games? i live in Tampa and plan on heading down for at least one game, but due to work and birthdays i'm only limited to the Rays and Phillies games..... which sucks cause i watch the Rays here all theh damn time and the Phillies ST is about 30 minutes from my house in Clearwater. i want to be able to get down there early and get some autographs, watch some Bullpen and BP. i'm stoked! we're right around the corner now from Opening Day!!!!
