Francona being an idiot again. 1 run game at home in the 9th and you have a piece of trash out there while your closer is sitting on the bench?

One big hit would have won this game... just one f***ing hit. This season's not over by a long stretch and no matter what happens tomorrow, we're still up in the race, but god damn it this team is frustrating to watch. So much f***ing talent and yet they can't get it done when it matters most.

I really hope that Wakefield comes out and does what, apparently, none of our other SP can do, and that's hold the Rays to 1-2 runs. Lester looks just about the worst I've ever seen him. Can't find the strike zone to save his life, and insanely inconsistent.

 

Pathetic outing from him. Second time in a row we needed him to step up and put this team on his back, and it's the 2nd time in a row he's completely s*** the bed.

Another game of squandering opportunity after opportunity after opportunity. That's all this team does anymore. It's absolutely pathetic.

 

No doubt... I don't know what it is with this team. We've got guys that are supposed to be gamers and dirt dogs, like we did in 04 and 07, but more often than not as of late, we're losing games like this that could have easily been won, with just one or two more hits in keys spots.

 

It's so f***ing frustrating... I'll never give up the faith, but something has to give with this team. Have to start winning games like this.

0-8 with RISP tonight. 4-12 with RISP last night. 1-9 with RISP on Thursday.

 

That's 5-29 with RISP in the series. Hitting .172.

 

Can't win games like that. Completely gave this one away. Lost by a wild pitch and the inability to hit with RISP. Absolutely pathetic.

This team is mentally devastated and that is what worries me the most.

 

Grand part of this issue is of course charged to the pitching, but especially to the fact that every single game our SPs s*** the bed early. Their incompetence is taxing our offense.

 

Our pitching depth urgently needs to be reconstructed from its foundations. We can't continue living only with Beckett/Lester/Buch.

Is there any more doubts that this team deserve to be out of the playoffs?

 

Like I said before. Give a team (Rays) a chance to win it all.

 

Red Sox ain't going anywhere.

 

Rays deserve it more. Coming from like 9 and a half games back to almost at the brink of overtaking the Sox.

 

I hope Sox lose their remaining games just cause.
