Pap is pitching like he's the only fresh BP guy.

Hasn't been getting many saves lately.

He hasn't given up a run since July 16th-- 25 consecutive scoreless innings. That is the best run of his stellar career.

1 1/3 to tie Bard scoreless streak, who holds the longest in franchise.

Bard need to refine his delivery. Still leaving too many fastball up. His offspeed stuff is so good if he can just control his fastball.

Yep. There is no way we should let him walk in the off-season. Pay him top dollar and call it a day. It's not like the Sox are hurting for coin

He said that it's a mechanical issue... I suspect it's his armslot. Once he gets it back he'll be lights out again.

Doing it in the 9th is a little different.

He's worn down. That causes mechanical flaws-- ones that are hard to correct.

He said it was his timing. The only thing I hope is that his body isn't tensing up in big game situations, and it's throwing off his timing.

That said, he looked good tonight. His offspeed stuff is filthy. He did well tonight because he mixed his pitches well, and he threw his fastball for enough strikes that the hitters still had to respect it, but couldn't sit dead red.

iortiz - Angels lost too. Sox picked up games on Rays' date=' Angels, and Yankees tonight. Huge.[/quote']

The Division still open.

EDIT: And texas (thus far), just in case.

Hopefully, it is just overall fatigue.
