And a700, may I ask what you mean about peripheals not counting? I'm still getting used to using all these new statistics. Took me a while to get away from using ERA a lot :D

He is a smart base runner. He gets a good jump and he accelerates quickly' date=' but he isn't very fast.[/quote']

He should be fast. He's shorter than most players, which is less gravity on him = more speed.

All of the other peripherals are just indicators of how well he should be able to accomplish that task. Aceves is one of those guys who will not give in to guys who can hurt him and he'd rather walk them or hit them. He gets it accomplished in a different way than other pitchers.

But being smaller also means he has shorter legs, thus a smaller stride. Small stride = less speed.

Crawford would be so much better if he were just a bit more patient. He needs to take more pitches. I'm sure he's gonna turn himself around but it still isn't fun to watch.

Can we send CC back to Tampa' date=' our should I say st pete.[/quote']

How about we send him up to VT and the other parts destroyed by the hurricane and force him to donate the ridiculous amount of money we gave him to the relief effort. Then we could finally talk about how much positive work he does.

Won't work. Dice-k gave a few million to the Japanese relief fund, and everyone still was hammering him.
