This lineup is pretty weak. Lavarnway in his second game is in the middle of the lineup. It's something that I would expect to see if I was a Pirates fan.

I don't imagine this will be the lineup for the playoffs. Youkilis and Ortiz are pretty major cogs in the offense that are missing.

 

The team is spotty right now but they still are basically a lock for the playoffs, and have a very good shot at home field in the first two rounds. I'm not panicking.

They want to keep the pitchers in the rotation on regular rest and with the double header coming after the off day, Miller or Aceves gotta get a start at some point.
