No. It's not the way the game is played.

 

If Gonzo hits a bomb and shows up the pitcher, then you've got the reasoning to hit him. Or if someone is talking s***. Or takes out your catcher. Intentional actions yield intentional HBP.

 

What you are is just grumpy and pissed off, and understandbly so. But it doesn't call for headhunting or even throwing at anyone.

Plunking someone is one thing, trying to injure them is another, especially when things could escalate, and you could lose more players from it.

Scutaro vs Jeter

Youk vs A-Rod(main event for sure)

 

Then of course you have the pitchers fighting it out as well. I'd buy that in a heartbeat.
