Lowrie isn't exactly an iron man and I have no problem with the current rotation for the SS position. This team isn't struggling this bad because of the SS position, the pitching needs to step it up.

The Lowrie is soft and can't hit RHP stuff is a little stale. He got hurt once, played hurt which hurt his numbers, and then he got mono. Then he came back and put up a higher OPS than Marco did against RHP last year.

Right now, he's the better player. The kid should play until he proves he shouldn't. He's clearly got more talent, so if he takes the job and runs with, good for the Sox. Marco isn't going anywhere. If Lowrie falters, they've still got Marco ready to fill in.

He's going to get his at bats whether he is the starter or not right now. He's eventually going to play his way into the starting job but he's pretty damn valuable as a utility man in the mean time. No need to rush him into the gig and and chance it that he fails miserably. Then we are stuck with Scutaro.

Nasty stuff by lester.

Rush him? He's hitting the cover off the ball, whether it's starting or in PH duties. Play him.
