    I so can't understand people (like my wife) who don't find the playoffs absolutely spellbinding. I mean, every at-bat seems important - more so this year with all the close games. I'm so freakin' exhausted from late nights through this post season... When this is finally over, I'm going to bed when my 4 year old does. For a solid week.

    All ESPN has been able to talk about consistently is the Muppet-esque last name of the Cardinals starter for tonight, and the idea that said started should some nowhere near throwing a strike to Ortiz tonight. I suppose, though, with Napoli back in the lineup, that point is moot, right? I mean, they won't want to pitch to Napoli 3 or 4 times with a runner on if they can help it. Right?

    The Red Sox have 31 home tuns so far this season and 16 of them have been against the Blow Jays. The BJ's (prior to tonight) have 52 strike-outs in the five games they've played vs. Boston, only 8 of those are Clay's doing. If they thought he was doctoring the ball (and by "they" I mean anyone on the Toronto organization whose opinion means anything) it would have been brought up. Morris is either full if s*** or as dumb as same.

    I just finished the book the other day. Not nearly as nasty as some news reports would lead you to believe. It didn't really have anything earth shattering that wasn't already known, such as the owners became more ratings/dollar oriented over the course of the second half of Francona's tenure. Also, Manny comes off and mentally ill - again, no news there.

I doubt he was forced to apologize. some one called it in an earlier post, not all is cool and his message has been delivered. It all part of the monkey crap fight.
