Wow! If the next 7 1/2 innings are like the first 1 1/2, I'm gonna need to be hospitalized.

I so can't understand people (like my wife) who don't find the playoffs absolutely spellbinding. I mean, every at-bat seems important - more so this year with all the close games. I'm so freakin' exhausted from late nights through this post season... When this is finally over, I'm going to bed when my 4 year old does. For a solid week.

All ESPN has been able to talk about consistently is the Muppet-esque last name of the Cardinals starter for tonight, and the idea that said started should some nowhere near throwing a strike to Ortiz tonight. I suppose, though, with Napoli back in the lineup, that point is moot, right? I mean, they won't want to pitch to Napoli 3 or 4 times with a runner on if they can help it. Right?

I'm happy he's keeping Ross in, but I still say Drew should be batting 9th.

I just can't vote against Ortiz. I mean, Koji is amazing, but Papi has been other-worldly in this series.

Maybe the Blow Jays rotation should get some rosin on their forearms.

The Red Sox have 31 home tuns so far this season and 16 of them have been against the Blow Jays. The BJ's (prior to tonight) have 52 strike-outs in the five games they've played vs. Boston, only 8 of those are Clay's doing. If they thought he was doctoring the ball (and by "they" I mean anyone on the Toronto organization whose opinion means anything) it would have been brought up. Morris is either full if s*** or as dumb as same.

Doesn't Blanco have an endorsement deal with AARP?
