Carlos Santana' date=' C ($N/A)[/b']

I think it might mean he played for the 400k minimum, or had a minor league contract. I'm not sure which, though.

I had my sights on Santana. As for salary, I don't know if they prorate the league minimum if the player is not in the majors for the entire year. I don't know where you'd get the data for that.

Ital, Marcum was going to be my next pick. He could have a big year fully healthy in the NL.

I struggled with the Marcum pick. I really wanted someone else, but I didn't think it was wise to go after that position yet, and that with so many people going after starters, I figured that by going after ANOTHER really cheap but good starter should help me spend more money in some other areas later in the draft.

As for Beltre, I felt that I was being sneaky for a bit because Cot's doesn't list players that haven't signed yet, so I don't think it listed Beltre at all, so I figured that people forgot about him. I'm taking a bit of a risk depending on where he signs, but to be honest, I chose Beltre more because of his outstanding defense (and I have some groundball pitchers) than because of his offense. I definitely overpaid, but I had the money to spend and if he has a decent offensive season along with his defense then it'd work out.

Please Texas, go and sign Beltre!!

Just make sure to make your pick before you sign off Flynnatic.

And keep in mind, this might be the first redraft where someone is really on top of the chart, so use it to see who's been taken via position, or what players you have and who you need. One should always check the charts before they make their picks.

I really like the Santana pick. In my opinion' date=' he should have been the next catcher selected, but I didn't think he would be. Kudos Flynn.[/quote']He's a bit of a risk. He's coming back from knee surgery and at the catcher position that could spell some trouble. Had he finished 2010 healthy, he would have been taken before this round.

Now I don't have to feel that bad with all the retarded picks I make with the few good picks.

You're not that bad with baseball dude. We're in a league with some tough people. It's going to be hard trying to keep up with them. Your team is better then mines atm. You'll be fine.

That's a good point and something to keep in mind, but based on everything I've read he's expected to make a full recovery in time for Spring Training. But yeah, at his position, it's worth keeping an eye on.

Out of the main sports I follow, this is the sport I know the least about player wise, so the MLB redrafts are a learning experience for me.

You took a few guys a little bit early, but you've done a decent job. What's your rationale for not taking a pitcher with either of these two picks?

I was thinking about it but all of the guys i know are gone or are overpaid and won't fit my budget.

You're trying to come up with guys to select off the top of your head?
