Jed Lowrie has a few holes in his game. Namely' date=' he doesnt project for power, he cannot play multiple games in a row, and he is truly a 2b playing out of position. I am sorry Dojji, but I dont see Lowrie as a 140 games a yr kind of player with an .800+OPS. Right now, with tons of rest, he is a .800+OPS player. Dont see that over a full, arduous season[/quote']

How do you know Lowrie's ceiling? We haven't seen the guy play on a consistent, daily basis. I think there's potential with him. He's young, relatively unproven, and at this point in a all-but-lost season, why not play the guy fulltime and see what he can do. I think I've seen what Scutaro can do, or should I say, can't do, and I think it'd be a good move to give Lowrie some more consistent playing time. Then again, I'm not Tito.

He can't play full-time because he's always injured and/or needs a "rest." How can we project him as a full-time starter if he's not able to physically be on the field without taking a few days off?

GREAT signing Theo.. I could put up with his extremely average offense if he could play adequate defense. He is horrific! He is one of the worst SS's I have ever seen. He has the range of a quadriplegic elephant and a noodle arm the likes of which has not been seen since Damon left.. He is an absolute JOKE! I hate Marco Scutaro..this f***ing bum has cost us plenty of games this year and just cost us another chance to gain on the Rays.. f*** SCUTARO..and f*** Theo for signing him.

You are the joke. You rant and rave like a bratty little kid who isn't getting their way.

You proved that when you started the 8/27 game thread vs the Rays when you actually said the Rays and their fans don't deserve to be in the playoffs....."we do". Who are you to say the Rays don't deserve to be in the playoffs? The Rays fans suck but the Rays do not.

If we get to the play offs, so be it, but if we don't, we don't deserve to be there. Period.

So try to get a check on your irrational emotions before you start a stupid ass thread like this. Scoot looked bad a short last night, so what? He's been fine overall. I don't cringe everytime a ball is hit to him like with some past SS for the Sox.

SORRY!!! HAD TO STOP BITING MY TONGUE AND SAY SOMETHING ABOUT JimEd.

p.s. Your use of CAPS is excessive.

Anger is found in almost any sox fan. If Jimed takes it to an extreme, why should it bother you? Let him blow off steam, it's ok. We all have that frustation buried somewhere.

If he really bothers you, just ignore him. It's not that hard.

So what let him just trash the s*** out of Scutaro? He has no idea what he is talking about. That's why everyone is on his case. Scutaro is the least of our problems like many others said. Everytime someone doesn't do good he automatically hates them. Jon Lester for example.

Yeah, and when a player f's up I get mad too. He may take it to an extreme, but I'm ok with it. If he needs to blow off steam on a message board, why get butt-hurt over it?

What we didn't come to expect was half the team to go down via injury. Without all that we'd most likely be looking at a team that was dead even with New York and TB right now. Rant all you want' date=' but it's the truth.[/quote']

I agree that there's no issue with blowing off steam, but if he's posting this, criticism comes with the territory. If you don't wanna get burned then don't play with fire.

VA quoted for truth. Then again, JimEd is kinda like this forums little "special" brother who occasionally forgets to take his meds. He must have forgotten his valium for this past week. The good thing is, when he takes his meds, he doesnt post here for months at a time. Hopefully he started taking his meds again

with the whole med thing it sounds like most Yankee fans can float in that boat too!

Thanks for your advice.

Anger is found in almost any person. I'm just as frustrated as the next Red Sox fan this season. And if I post stupid ass s***, I expect to get criticized, as should JimEd.

We all get mad but to start ranting and start making up ********? We're all mad right now. We're on the road to missing the playoffs. I understand everyone mood has changed. It's not the fact that it annoys me its the fact that he is saying false things. So in other words you want me to not reply when someone is wrong? Why would I get butt-hurt over how someone else feels? That just doesn't make sense to me.

The right to be mad and express your emotions freely is not carte blanche freedom not to be criticized for the text of those emotions.

We all have the right to say stupid crap at the height of emotion. We all have the right to laugh at people who say stupid crap at the height of emotion. These rights are not mutually exclusive.

It's fine to criticize. It's another thing entirely to get on a high horse and act offended and put out.

By the same token, it's fine to criticizea player performance, but flying off the handle JimEd style is another thing as well.

Why is Scutaro all of a sudden a scapegoat? He's been league average, which is what they expected him to be. Besides, he's a placeholder for Iglesias or Lowrie.
Posted

He is the least of our problems. Hes been about what I expected and will play about 140 games this year.

Lackey and Beckett have been bigger problems than Scutaro.

If you don't want it, then don't post this stuff. Obviously its not you, but calling someone who's been generally a solid player, a piece of s***, is gonna bring out a lot of different responses. Its what forums are, they're communities. In communities not everyone will see eye-to-eye, and some people are touchy over these things. You're posting it in a community for that community to see.
