I'm half worried he'll turn into MDC2. Talented but wildly inconsistent.

 

He has good stuff, but his walk rate has always been high and it has continued in his short sample size in the bigs. He's a loogie until he proves he can locate better. But if he does, he's gonna be a good one

I dont disagree, going to what got you here is the way to go, but there was no sign of a letup from Buch prior to that pitch to Upton

 

He made a stupid throw to 1st...but if you watched the previous inning Clay was hanging pitches...missing his spots..which happens when you are up over 100 and over your average which Clay was. He was also f***ing with his fingers on his pitching hand constantly..hope he isn't getting a blister..

 

Clay pitched a great game.. your fatass CC is not even close to the pitcher Clay is this year.. he is a horse...and he wins...but dude gave up 9 hits and 5 runs.. Clay is gonna win the CY.

Hall cannot hit a good fastball...I am assuming Lowrie's fragile health is the reason he wasn't in there tonight.. Hall is a good mistake hitter.. someone hangs a curve..he nails it....but he cannot sniff a good fastball like Garza or Soriano posess...I fully expect Hall to be pinch hit for.

How is leaving Buc in there good strategy? He is at 107...gave up his only run the previous inning.. Hung a changeup to Joyce in the 7th that a good hitter would have put into the seats.. Not to mention the fact that Upton has owned Clay in the past and hit a rocket earlier in the game that Kalish grabbed.

 

As a700 said, no one had been hitting him hard all night. The Kalish grab not withstanding.

 

He gave up one run on his error.

 

He still had all his stuff and good command.

 

He's the Sox best pitcher right now.

I was working in the emergency department until 2am. As you noticed, I didnt post at all in the game thread, even when we had a 1-0 lead.

 

Regardless, where were you when the sox were toiling 6 games back with guys dropping like flies?
