Random question to the mods-- is it supposed to stretch out the box of the user if their username is too long like that? It is kind of giving me a headache.

Who cares? Seriously. I don't know how you can write 5,000 words just to say "nobody". I mean I'm English for god's sake, so stretching out arguments with unnecessary language for the sole purpose of sounding intelligent and well educated is my M.O. and I could not make a pertinent reply anywhere close to 5,000 words.

This was already posted by a Sox fan when Darnell was brought up from AAA. The response then is the same as it is now. So? That was 2005, he wasn't with the Sox and with today's testing he's not doing it in 2010.

On a sidenote: Aren't those that post just to cause trouble supposed to be banned?

First and foremost, I am a die hard Red Sox fan.

I posted this because I was devastated when we found out about Papi and Manny and I simply dont want to be duped again.

In McDonalds first game with the Sox, he got the game tying and winning hits. He was the hero. Last night, he was responsible for the ONLY two Red Sox runs (he scored one and drove in the other).

It seems like he is poised to be something special for this team.

BUT when a 31 year old who has spent most of his career in the minors suddenly starts playing like an all-star (and has tested positive in the past) you cant help but wonder if he is back on....maybe as a last ditch effort to salvage a sorry career.

I bet you have a Christy Mihos bumper sticker on your car.

Jeeze, it sure took him long enough to figure out how to use them correctly. I just assume everyone's on them considering how poor MLB's testing system is and how many people they've caught anyways.

Well it is safe to say the PEDs did not work for him. I think this might be his first time in the SHOW. With that said, I really hope he keep on playing well. The Sox will need him till Ellsbury is back.

I cant tell if you all simply dont understand what Im saying or if you are just teasing me because Im new here.

He began playing baseball in 1998 in Single A. Over his 12 years career, he only played about 77 games in the majors.

He got caught using steroids in 2005 while in the minors. Fast forward to 2010 and he is playing alike an all star in the big leagues.

All Im saying is that we shouldnt anoint him a "hero" or a savior of any sort. He dabbled with steroids in the past. Theres the possibility that he is dabbling with it again.

We get it, but it is in the past.. He did not do sh&t on PEDs in the first place, so who cares?

Well the PEDs sure didn't help when he tried to outrun a horse...

:lol::lol:

He says he wants a rematch!

I think that horse is glue by now.

These are the kind of players who I do not care about roids. Seriously, the guy is a fringe big leaguer and without the juice he may have never made the bigs. Remember, one AB, one inning, one anything to put your name in a boxscore secures you a lifetime pension and benefits. Making the big leagues is really, really important to fringe players
