Gonzo's splits vs LHP away from home:

.277/.336/.496 : .832 OPS.

Source: Mlb.com Adrian Gonzales double-situational splits.

This confirms my theory.

Love it.

I still don't love the .336 OBP, but that near-.500 SLG is pretty nice. The discipline looks pretty good too.

I've seen the stuff about his hit chart before and have always been impressed with how it would play at Fenway.

If people are somewhat unfamiliar with him, or have only seen occasional highlights, I propose going and watching some highlights on mlb.com. This guy cracks the ball to all fields.

the guy's probably not coming to the Red Sox. But boy does Adrian Gonzalez want to come to the Red Sox. He's dropped the hint to Nick Cafardo at the B.Globe before, then recently his pals dropped the hint to the Globe that Gonzalez prefers the Red Sox, then his pals tell that Jorge Arangure guy at ESPN that his friends say they expect him to be in Boston within 10 days.

I hear ya Adrian, I want you in Boston too. Probably not happening this offseason though.

My guess is that Adrian is dying to win. If the Angels ponied up to the table and made an offer' date=' I am sure he'll talk about how much he would love to play there.[/quote']

I speak for everyone when I say, please shut the f*** up.

He wants the Red Sox, stop ruining my damn fantasy

He did say he's been told he'd love hitting in Fenway. Back to my fantasy.

Really? You even have to disagree with Red Sox fans about something so petty as this? I can see why you enjoy posting here as a Yankees fan.

This is what Theo should do.

1. trade ellsbury and Buchholz and lower level prospects for Adrian Gonzalez

2. SIGN MATT HOLLIDAY.

Lineup.

1. JD Drew

2. Pedroia

3. Youk

4. Gonzalez

5. Holliday

6. V-Mart

7. Papi

8. Cameron

9. Scutaro.

Rotation.

1. Lester

2. Beckett

3. Lackey

4. Dice-k

5. FA/Minor leaguer who is ready.

I know this is unlikely, but this team would be like unbelievable.

Where is the Wake. Plus Youk in the Three hole. plz. Thank god we have Terry instead of you.

It was teh Worst example i have ever seen. Your lineup was like that of a five year olds video game.

Youk would prolly down near 6.

Youk would never produce the same numbers as Holliday or Gonzo out of the three hole.

You sir are mentally challenged.

I have visual proof here you are.

Enough Said. You have been here all of 20 minutes. Enough Said. :harhar::harhar::harhar::harhar::harhar::harhar:

Please where did Youk hit out of last year. the four hole. not three. We already went through why Gonzo has worse numbers. Stadium.

Thank you.

Fly ball to left. Petco F-7 Fenway HR. or 2b. please present your evidence against.

How about this.

Gonzalez has no protection, he is basically pitched around, therefore his OBP should be higher then Youks and it is not. Im not saying Youk IS BETTER, im saying whoever hits out of 3 hole and 5 hole will PRODUCE, this would be one of deepest sox lineups in a while, we would finally have back the ORTIZ/MANNY line 3/4 combo and on top of that we would have amazing #5

Yes he walks every game like Bonds. Youk walks and is more disciplined than most hitters in the league. And please show me where you get you information about pitching around. DO you WAtch the games.

Lol. You mean if he were to play in Boston, rather than Petco Park, he wouldn't have a higher OBP, because pitchers wouldn't pitch around him MORE? He played in the NL West, the division that's full of pitcher's parks, so basically, he plays around 120 of his games in pitchers parks. Gee, I wonder if his OBP, SLG, collectively OPS, would go up? Maybe?

Gonzalez was 2nd in the league in intentional walks to Pujols. Thats pretty clear he was pitched around, he was also intentionally walked with no on base twice last year.
