Told ya Matsui would be MVP

Well deserved. He's been the epitome of class and hard work since he came over in 2003. Considering the fact that he most likely won't be back next season, I'm happier for him than I am for anyone else on the team. We all know how bad he wanted it, and I'm glad he got to experience it.

I hope Pedro hangs it up. It's obvious that he can't pitch back to back starts (even with an extra days rest) without a big dropoff in stuff. The greatness is gone. I hate seeing him be mediocre.

I dunno.. one game does not make a WS MVP IMO.

Mo should get it for saving Girardi's ass.

He hit like 8 million in the series, hit 3 home runs, and drove in 6 runs tonight. It's well deserved.

I wouldn't mind having him in the pen here in the Bronx. :D

I'm sure he wouldn't either.

Extra day isn't enough, I think he needs at least a week between starts in his current state.

Mo plans on pitching for 5 more years...good to hear....

I've had a feeling for a long time that he might retire after this year if they won it. I think he would like to go out on top. He's getting older, and although it might not seem like it his skills are declining. He seems like the kind of guy that wants to go out on his own terms, and what better way than as a champion at the top of his game.

Hopefully I'm wrong though.

It's going to take me awhile to fall asleep now, but it's a lot better than the sleep I lost towards the end of 2001, 2004, 2008....and pretty much every year in between...

Unbelievable night. It started off with me bringing the wrong ticket to the game and it ended with our championship. It's the first time I saw a World Series clincher for the Yankees at home.
