I'm not even upset they lost. When Cano got hit, the game was over. I have absolutely ZERO faith in Swisher. Zero. I actually got up to get some ice cream.

 

This is not because he made the out, I have never liked Swisher. He cannot hit a good pitcher, and hasn't all season. Cashman would be smart to rehaul the entire OF, leaving only Melky and Gardner.

What's too bad about Swisher is that he did everything right. Fuentes made two decent pitches, getting way ahead in the count. Then Swisher battled back to 3-2, and got a fastball right now the middle. He put a good swing on it, but just missed it.

The Yankees almost stole a game tonight, but Girardi insisted on handing it back. If the Yanks had been winning throughout the game, but lost right at the end, the analogy would have been applicable. The yanks are sitting in a good position, but they are one or two Girardi blunders from from losing the series.
