I'm not even upset they lost. When Cano got hit, the game was over. I have absolutely ZERO faith in Swisher. Zero. I actually got up to get some ice cream.

This is not because he made the out, I have never liked Swisher. He cannot hit a good pitcher, and hasn't all season. Cashman would be smart to rehaul the entire OF, leaving only Melky and Gardner.

Was there a single Yankee fan who had any faith in Swisher?

The Lib answers political commentary with a personal insult. Dru up and blow away.

Who says I'm a "lib?" I was just saying he's an idiot for answering a question about why people can't spell speak or talk with "because Obama." And it's true.

I voted for McCain.

Don't bash me for my English. I'm only a sophomore in high school. :dunno:

I'm not bashing you. I'm trying to help. 7th grade English class.

Of course you were there.

The Yankees lost because they gave up 4 runs in the first inning....

I was in Honors English 1 last year and now my Old (meaning in age) English teacher moved me to CP (you don't know what CP means) English II.

CAPITAL PUNISHMENT??!?!???

Girardi should have pinch-hit for Swisher. Hairston or even Gardner (assuming he used him to hit, rather than run) had better chances of coming through in that situation at this point.

What's too bad about Swisher is that he did everything right. Fuentes made two decent pitches, getting way ahead in the count. Then Swisher battled back to 3-2, and got a fastball right now the middle. He put a good swing on it, but just missed it.

Both managers managed to snag grab defeat from the jaws of victory.

The part that I love most? The near-meltdowns of both Hughes and Joba. An entirely satisfying thing to watch.

I was waiting for Joba to fist pump on that double.

At least you guys (the ones who are a bit older) should enjoy that one. Definitely applies to the Yankees right now.

You mean like you?

Haha nope. I wasn't alive when Bob Boone said that.

Good comeback.

But don't worry, i shall find a way to prove you're an old-timer.

Well maybe it moved over to Teixeira.

a700' date=' out of anyone, you've got to appreciate the Bob Boone quote.[/quote']It's a good quote, but I don't know if it applies here. lackey was cruising and the Angels victory should have been easy, but Scioscia intervened with idiocy and tried his best to hand the series to the Yanks. The Yankees almost stole a game tonight, but Girardi insisted on handing it back. If the Yanks had been winning throughout the game, but lost right at the end, the analogy would have been applicable. The yanks are sitting in a good position, but they are one or two Girardi blunders from from losing the series.
