I hope the whole yankees team goes to hell. CC should eat himself to death' date=' Pettite should go back to Louisiana and get hit by a hurricane, A-Rod and Jeter should move to Provincetown and get married and die together, Texiera should get beat by his wife and Joba OD on meth.[/quote']

So, I guess you're not a Yankee fan...

I give Pettitte a ton of credit for last night, but I still think the Yankees' made the wrong decision. In my opinion logic dictated that Sabathia should start game six, especially with the rain out.

It did, however, work out perfectly for the Yankees because now they can start CC in game one of the World Series.

But the Yankees are still stupid.

I have this on good authority.

Clearly a hyperbole on my part.

However, in my opinion, Girardi made bullpen mistakes in Game 3 of the ALDS, Game 2 of the ALCS (minor), Game 3 of the ALCS, and Game 5 of the ALCS (questionable). Game 3 of the ALDS and Game 3 of the ALCS stand out.

Also, in two of the biggest spots of the series, they made a truly awful pitch selection (once following a mound visit).

Not to mention, as a700hitter and I have been saying all along, Girardi has been shaky throughout the entire course of the season. The Yankees are an excellent team, but, in my opinion, they win in spite of their manager.

The Yankees have been so strong in every aspect of the game that they have overcome many shaky managerial moves.

Logic did not dictate starting CC. For once, I agree wholeheartedly with Girardi. You get CC for 1 game. 1 game between games 6 and game 7. It isnt like he will throw 8 innings in Game 6 and come back for more in Game 7. That never happens. And it isnt like he has no other options. He has the winningest pitcher in postseason history to turn to who had been really solid thus far in the playoffs. Fact is, if it got to game 7, you had your hammer. If it ended in 6, your ace starts game 1 of the WS. Makes a whole world of sense

Girardi came up smelling roses. I liked him starting Pettitte, and Mo for two innings was the right move. Give credit where it is due.

He was a moron in game 5 and game 3. But he did well last night and his two biggest ideas worked out very well. CC on 3 days rest, and holding CC for Game 7. Now, we are set up for success heading into the WS
