I hate Girardi

This is what Yankee fans get, you included, for wanting Torre gone. He had his regular season problems, but outside of one series, he was excellent in the postseason.

So funny how most NY fans wanted CHAAAAANGE!

I was glad when Torre was replaced with Girardi.

The best part is, I was watching the game with a bunch of Yankee fans when it was 4-0, and they were in my face as they climbed back to 6-4. I left to go to my room and it's now 7-6 and I'd love to tell them all to choke on my balls, but I'm not a sore winner. A sore loser, sure, but never a sore winner, no matter how much I hate the Yankees or their fans.

I hope you now understand why it was so ridiculous for everyone to call for Torre's head. They win this game with Torre.

how could anyone wanna get rid of torre. he was a great manager. if i was starting a team and could get anyone i wanted he would definitely be my manager.

Torre wouldnt have gotten to this point. Y228, you dont remember Torre well. He burns out his pitchers ALL THE TIME. And by the time the postseason rolls around, the team would be spent. Torre does go for the jugular much better than Girardi. But Torre would go for the jugular 120 times a yr and his teams came out flat.

He won four f***ing World Series, and I'd be willing to bet I remember his postseason moves much better than you. He made mistakes in one postseason series. Just one. Outside of the 2004 ALCS, please show me where his moves cost the Yankees, or the fact that his relievers were tired cost the Yankees?

EDIT: The most hilarious part about that is you said by the time his team gets to the playoffs they'd be spent. They made the World Series in half his seasons here. Please don't say stupid things.

I wonder if the one of the reasons torre got fired was that he lost to a terrible offensively challenged Guardians team.

Post Of The Year candidate.

He won 4 world series with the deepest team I have ever seen and with the deepest bullpen we have ever had.

He blew out the pen arms in 2002 with 257IP from 3 relievers. Stanton gave it up in game 3 which was the pivotal game.

2003, our pen was garbage.

2004, our pen was dead come the postseason

They lost game three because Mussina went out with an injury, after they led 6-1. The Angels were a great offensive team that postseason. The game was lost when Mussina started giving back the runs and had to leave with an injury.

In 2003 the bullpen was always awful. That's not Joe's fault.

I admitted his screw-ups in 2004.

Torre won 4 World Series with an extremely talented core that was handed to him. He burned guys out and, more times than not, was hardly any better than Girardi at managing his bullpen. He was a good manager, but let's not act like he was Casey Stengel reincarnated or something.

He was excellent in the postseason. That's good enough for me.
