9 times out of 10, the type of hit balls in that inning result in 0 runs. Hell, realistically, Lackey should be through 1 2/3 IP.

Usually we crumble under the pressure vs the Angels. That was a big error. And Lackey just doesnt look loose. Posada just missed that one.

Strange inning. They only hit one ball well, and got one huge break, so they're lucky to score two runs. But, at the same time, Lackey gave every single hitter good pitches to hit, and the Yankees just kept missing them. Definitely could have been less, but it also could have been more.

I would love to see the change up more the second time through the order. By my count he only has thrown two of them, both resulting in swings and misses.

You would have to admit that he gave the Yankees' hitters a lot of hittable pitches in the first. Based on how they did, he should not have given up any runs, but he was not sharp.

Swisher and Cano both had really good pitches to hit. Lackey looks rather unimpressive thus far, but the Yankees' bats continue to be dormant.
