This might not be a game by midway through the 3rd quarter. USC has done exactly jack and s*** on offense, and there's no sign pointing the potential to do so. I realize they have skill players that can house it at any time, but right now it's looking like they are going to need some of that to stay in the game. OSU is moving the ball at will.

USC is finding some rythm on offense now. They are doing a good job mixing up the play calling and keeping OSU off balance. Good game.

It should only get better as USC and that Rook at QB settle down, I think they come out in the 2nd half real strong, Pete Carrol is a hell of a coach and a superb Big Game Coach.

OSU has a chance to put the nail in the coffin after the good field position tradeoff on the last two possessions. If they can kill some clock and punch one in. I don't see USC getting up off the mat.

Like baseball, football is a funny game. USC looked like crap the entire 2nd half offensively, they give up a sack on 1st down deep in their own territory, they increase the difficulty level with a delay of game, making it 2nd and 20 from the 5. Now they are on the doorstep with a chance to go ahead.

At the risk of sounding like I've got some bias here, I don't like either of these teams, in fact I want both to lose pretty much every week. So, here goes. If USC goes on to win, it will be a shame for OSU. They were the better team on the field, IMO. USC looked good on about a drive and a half all game.

Thats football for you, IMO. Heroes made from small sample sizes and without appropriate credit given to teammates and bad plays made by the other team. It is frustrating to me at the college and pro level. McKnight looked like Reggie Bush out there, even when deep in their own end he came up with huge yards that few other players would have.

 

USC is a very good team. In this game, and with this collegiate set-up, it doesn't matter how good USC actually IS, they managed to go on the road and pull one out in front of 100,000+.

 

Overall, I love watching football but can't stand the hyperbole that announcers, sports radio and writers use to describe the game we all watch. The playcalling and coaching are as important as the performance of any one player on the field.

I just don't see how it was a shame that OSU lost.

 

OSU only gained 117 all purpose yards after the first quarter. It's not like they were dominating USC the whole game.

 

OSU's offense killed it in the first quarter and then didn't show up again. USC clearly outplayed OSU in the 2nd and 4th quarters.

I didn't say they were dominating them, but they were playing better. I don't think anyone without an agenda who watched that game would say differently.

Fresno State v. Boise State is an awesome game, its 34-24 Boise State and that isnt from passing thats from monster rushing attacks, Special Teams, and Defense, it is a very good game.

If Ten. somehow wins this game, it would start a s*** storm. It would justify everything Kiffin said and he would keep on going. lol

Id like to see it because I like upsets, except for when it involves my team.
